Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2016/02/11) */
the car came in for over heating problem we did a pressure check and found radiator leaking the car has 222,miles it was the original radiator, that took car of the over heating and cooling problem, I never rec a phone call nor seen the
customer since the time of repair, I am the only person that handles the service dept, and if the water pump was leaking after the replacement of the radiator thats because the new radiator was holding the proper pressure and that would have then made the water pump leak, it was not leaking at them time of repair, I am sure the water pump was original, if I would have known that the water pump starting leaking after the repairs to the radiator, I would do the pump at cost to help, and to make him happy, bottom line the radiator was leaking and I have the part to show the customer
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 10, 2016/02/22) */

To whom it may concern, This letter is my account of our interaction with Ms*** *** here at Autohaus Collision and Motorworks. *** came into our shop for a number of problems with her
car including the collision damage to her rear quarter panel, no heat situation, and leaking power steering pump. Our mechanic addressed the no heat issue by flushing the cooling system and removing contaminants from the system, we then proceeded with collision work. The repair of the collision damage took longer than as we had to source used parts, and for a vehicle of this age our parts supplier had a hard time getting in a serviceable quarter panel. The first quarter panels were rusted through as they were from local salvage yards, the supplier then had to order one from Arizona to finally get one in good condition. Once the serviceable parts were at the shop the repair went pretty well and we were able to deliver the car within a week of receiving the good parts. During this waiting period for the good parts we lost our mechanic, so we completed the collision repair and returned the vehicle to her I rescheduled *** to bring her car back to complete the mechanical repairs, and when she brought the car back in to our shop she told us that the heat was not working again. We found no major mechanical problems with the heat and so we flushed the system and removed a lot more contamination and debris from the system. This fixed the no heat issue so we moved on to fix the power steering pump which took longer than expected due to unforeseen issues with installing the pump. This whole time *** was calling and demanding her car back, Ms*** was very short and rude to both me and my staff. We bent over backwards for *** by giving her a free rental car, saving her from totaling as she could not buy a new one, not charging her for the second flush of the cooling system, and doing everything we could to make sure that not having her car didn’t impact her life as much as possible. *** refused to pay us her insurance deductible we are still owed $for this, and she also refused to pay for the clean up of the rental for the despicable condition she left the interior in ($is our detailing fee for this)Almost every time that *** came in to our shop she brought her husband who continually brought open beers in and drank them in our lobby, only when asked to take it outside did he leave and continue to dink outside our front door. Inside the vehicle was always some sort of open container of alcohol and we can only assume the same things went on while in our rental we gave her. When we were all done with her repairs *** came in to pick up her vehicle, I asked her to step into my office I went over the repair with her in detail and said “We have done everything that we agreed upon, you have not been happy so far, so I think it would be in both our best interests for you to find another shop”. I truly believe that if we continued to do business with her that we would have lost other customers due the attention she demanded, and her and her family’s behavior in our front lobby
