Review: Company did not pay their Pennsylvia turnpike charge in the amount of $143.49. My car's license plate was scanned while on their truck's transporter and my NYS EZ Pass was debited in this amount for their 18 wheeler transport truck. EZ pass and the PA turnpike cannot help! I have tried on numerous occasions (verbally and written) to settle this with the company. Since it is their tolls for their truck. No responsibility of mine. I paid their transport fee of $910. and was not told I had to pay the highway tolls for their transport truck.

I want a refund.

I have documented all conversations and have copies of emails and letters mailed-Desired Settlement: Refund to me

Review: My husband paid roughly $1600 to transport my 2001 corolla from [redacted] to [redacted]. It was about average quote and Autolog had great reviews and great Revdex.com rating, so we chose them. My car was delivered on Dec. 1, 2013 at 1 am with a stench of a burnt clutch and 9 extra miles on the odometer. The clutch was slipping so badly that I took it to a local mechanic asap and fixed it. The truck driver was not working for Autolog, but for [redacted]. When I contacted Autolog about my burnt clutch, they transferred my call to [redacted]. I submitted my claim to [redacted] with all required documents (all original documents, 2 quotes, photographs, description of problem). [redacted] denied my claim, because they consider a burnt clutch a "mechanical failure". My car had no clutch problems during the 6 years I owned it and did not have clutch problems when I dropped it of at the terminal. They have no idea who drove my car for 9 miles and why.Desired Settlement: I would like Autolog to change their website to reflect the fact that their orders can be handled by entities other than Autolog, and to pay for the repairs of my clutch (roughly $700).

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Issue 1. Regarding the mileage on my car: I know that my car was driven for 9 miles while in your care because I took pictures of the odometer at the drop-off and after delivery with my cell phone (and so it is time and date stamped). I e-mailed you those photos as proof at the time when I appealed your decision to deny my claim. This is how you know what the mileage on my car is. So far, you seem to have know idea about who drove my car and why. According to the driver who delivered my car, there were no reason for it to be driven 9 miles. Yes, the odometer reading was not noted on the documentation, and so, perhaps you should train your employees better - they were the ones filling out your paperwork, not me. So let's not pretend that my car was not driven for 9 miles while in your possession.

Issue 2. I would have almost bought your argument about mechanical failure. Of course, a clutch could fail from normal wear, but then it would not stink. My car was returned to me with a strong unbearable smell of a burnt clutch. That was acknowledged by the driver and it was noted by the mechanic who replaced my clutch (I sent you that paperwork).

That burning smell indicates that someone handled my car with negligence or that whoever drove it (for 9 miles?) had no idea how to drive a car with manual transmission. Even a new clutch can be broken very quickly if car is driven by someone who does not know what they are doing.

Your website promises "On time and damage-free delivery". It is lovely that you point out that you are not responsible for mechanical failures. So does it mean you could go ahead and break mechanical parts of the car as you wish and still have no responsibility? If yes, let's post my negative review on your website in customer testimonials section and see how many people will still want your business. My clutch did not "fail". It was broken by someone in your employ.

Issue 3. I was assured several times that my car would be transported by Autolog. It was transported by [redacted] driver who never heard of Autolog. I do not appreciate being misinformed. What's the point to pick a company with excellent Revdex.com rating if someone else is going to do the job and botch it?

Response:

Good Afternoon,

In regards to the mileage...

mileage was not noted on the customer’s origin or destination inspections (as previously supplied) and is not standard information that is collected.

In regards to the clutch..

Vehicle is 12 years old; 119433 miles. Which would be considered normal wear

& tear for the age of the vehicle. If the clutch was failing from wear and tear, there could be a burning smell from the clutch not engaging.

As

noted on page 3 –section 10 of the [redacted] Single Unit Terms and

Conditions:

Transporter

shall not be liable for normal wear and/or tear; damages and/or losses directly

and/or indirectly related to mechanical malfunctions.
