AOS uses a telemarketing company (out of state) to make calls in *** County, looking for companiesInterested in leasing/purchasing copiers.On 2/5/*** ***, Inc., located on *** Bid ., was contacted and they agreed to lease acopier from AOS*** ***, owner, called the
location and spoke to *** *** and asked her ifshe was in agreement with the proposed lease; she said she wasI then asked her if she had theauthority to sign the lease and she said she didArrangement was made to deliver the copier and havethe lease sign.I arrived that afternoon with the lease document and service contract, which *** *** signed (seecopy,) and we agreed to have the copier delivered the next dayShe also asked us to move the existingold copier to another location, which we didOur procedure is to send the lease to the Bank(after the equipment is installed) and have it approvedOnce it is approved, we mail a copy of the leaseand service contract to the customerIf the customer had asked us for a copy at the time of signing, wewould give it to them, but will tell them it is not final until after the leasing company approves it.The telemarketing company called another *** *** location and notified us that they would alsodesire a leased copierAgain, I filled out a lease and service agreement, went to that location to have itsignedI was told that the person who would sign the lease was not availableI left my card and asked tohave her call me.I finally heard from *** *** who told me that she did want the copier at the second location andwanted us to remove the installed copier at the *** locationI asked *** if we could meet todiscuss the copier leases and she said yesThat afternoon I received a call from another employee from*** *** who told me that *** had a prior commitment and would not be able to meet with meItried to setup another appointment but was told me she does not want to meet with me and to havethe copier picked up from the *** location.That day, I called the leasing bank and asked them to cancel the lease from *** *** and wescheduled a pickup of the copierIt took a few days for the leasing to get back to usThe lease wascanceled, and the equipment picked up.As far as the disrespect and rudeness from the telemarketing company, I called them and told themabout the complaint from ***They apologize and stated that they would talk to the employeesresponsible for that the rude callsWe also notified them that if we receive another complaint that wewould no longer use them.I apologized to *** numerous times at the time we communicated.AOS did not charge *** for moving the old *** copier we may have to re-think that.I have included the signed lease by, *** ***, from ***, that claimed she had authority to signthe lease.Very Truly Yours,Dave S***, Owner ***Please see attached document***
