You cannot schedule their workmen so that you can be there when the workmen come. It appears they do not want to -I've never run into a company that can't give you a two-four hour window of time on a specific date they'll be there. Last time we just let them come - and were not given an estimate -they just fixed it for a whopping amount. And explaining the problem through the secretary doesn't mean it gets translated properly to the workmen. I'd forgotten they won't allow you to pin them to a specific date and a time window when they come so when the secretary asked for my gate code, I hesitated (I'd already called and had to leave a message for them that it didn't work and that I was taking off work Friday so I could be at home all day then). I said "I want to be here" and was told "we can't do that". I hesitated but did not give my pin and said I'd find someone else. The secretary replied in a snotty tone "good luck with that".
