Thank you for your email and the opportunity to present our findings regarding the subject case.  Please note that we have also responded to identical case for the same end consumer through the State of New York Consumer Division.  Here is what we advised them:   Our database has two...

(2) instruments registered to the end consumer; the registered serial numbers are:  [redacted] and [redacted].  Both of these instruments are listed as Model Unitron Moxi 20 RIC Behind-the-Ear Receiver-in-the-Canal Style, and our records are as follows:   1/31/13                Sold Serial number [redacted] wholesale as STOCK device at technology level Moxi 6 to The Hearing Center, [redacted], East Northport, NY 11731 on invoice [redacted] for $599.25 4/30/13                Return period expired 6/12/14                Clinic contacted Unitron to update database serial number to reflect patient name: [redacted] 6/17/14                Clinic upgraded software in device from Moxi 6 to Moxi 20 technology level; Unitron invoiced The Hearing Clinic on invoice [redacted] for $413.85 7/17/14                Sold Serial number [redacted] wholesale as device registered to end consumer [redacted] at technology level Moxi 20 to The Hearing Center, [redacted], East Northport, NY 11731 on invoice [redacted] for $964.13   There are no service events of either device after this date.   7/17/15                Clinic contacted Unitron to advise that they were closing their business 9/8/15                   Unitron Finance Department closed account   Note that the hearing evaluation, amplification prescription, sale of hearing instruments, purchase contract, and payment, all took place between The Hearing Center and the end consumer directly.    Although we are very sorry this end consumer feels as if she was wronged in some way, her purchase agreement and fiduciary contract and transactions took place with The Hearing Center in East Northport, NY.  We did not sell the instrument directly to the end consumer, nor did we collect any funds from the end consumer.   For this reason, Unitron cannot refund money it did not collect, and we would recommend that this matter be taken up with The Hearing Center in East Northport, NY, directly.
