Automazing Custom Upholstery

Review: First contacted company owner came to storage January and gave est. of $300.00 to build sun screen panels for boat. Then I contacted owner in late March so I could bring the boat over for measurements of existing panels (plastic). Took boat to company on April 3, 2014 & he called me on April 9th & said panels were ready and that he needed more money do to more materials used so price increased to $450.00. Took boat back to company to have panels installed on April 11th and panels didn't' fit properly. Snaps didn't match and zippers weren't long enough. After 4 hours of owner trying to make it work he then made an appt. for April 24th to bring boat over to fix panels,. He had the boat for 8 hrs. then had gentlemen from storage unit to go and pick up the boat for us. The panel was not fixed, he just added pieces to it. There were also holes where the snaps used to be that were open. My wife and I saw this on the weekend of April 25th as we were fishing and wife noticed that panel had pieces added instead of new one made for thee left side only and that the zipper did not zip all the way like the right panel. Wife called owner on April 28th and owner told her that he was not going to replace or fix the left panel. Shortly after that owner called wife back and told her that I cold bring back the panel and company would reimburse me $150.00. Als owner charged me an extra $40.00 to replace worn snaps on boat which weren't' replaced. Still has original snaps on boat.Desired Settlement: For him too take back both panels and give me back my $490.00 and fined for improperly doing a job and bad customer service.

I did 3 different jobs for this customer. If he was not happy with my initial work why did he come back. The prices stated on the complaint are partially correct. There was bartering involved to agree to the prices for the jobs. Consumer seemed satisfied until wife got involved. I offered to refund part of the job they were unhappy with( one panel).I did replace the snaps. The total cost of the job for the screens was only $350. At this point I believe I went far and above my duty as a good business. I even modified my work schedule to tend to the repair requests of this customer. I have invested too much of my time in dealing with this issue and feel the consumer does not deserve a refund and none will be offered.

I am rejecting this response because: we have a receipt for $450.00 not $350.00 and also because he had us make an appointment to fix the panel on April 24th 2014 and he had the boat for 8 hours when we had a gentleman from our storage come and pick it up. When my wife became part of this problem was when she had noticed that the panel was not fixed and that it wouldn't zip all the way, she called the owner and told him it wasn't fixed right he said he did fix it and she told him what it looked like.. My wife then told him no that it was his job to fix it properly and he didn't want anything to do with it. So my wife told him she was going to call the Revdex.com and then my wife hung up the phone on him in at which time he called her back and said to just return the unfixed panel and he would reimburse my husband for $150.00. My wife told him no and that he was very unprofessional in not taking care of what he said he would do.
