Dear Revdex.com, Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention.  This customer purchased a 14 year old [redacted] with almost 100,000 miles on it. He ordered our 'Standard' inspection service which covers the basic operational and cosmetic condition of a vehicle for...

$199. (It is not our premium report, those are $349) In addition to the report, our summary comments read: "This car was manufactured in September of 2002 making it a VERY example off the assembly line. Its condition is conducive with the mileage. The paint has a number of flaws, like chips scratches and scuffs etc. The wheel rims are damaged. The interior shows its age with wear and the drivers seat has been poorly repaired. It ran a drove ok. There was an accident in 2013 where the LEFT REAR WAS IMPACTED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. We checked this area and there is no obvious signs of damage, so we feel it was either minor and/or repaired correctly. Condition: #3-." The car was test driven for over 5 miles and the inspector did not notice smoke or and oil leak. A gasket or oil seal can fail at any time, without warning, This is especially true of a vehicle of this age and mileage. The sellers listing on eBay states "Mileage is approximate since this car is still in use" .  We can only report on what we see at the time of the inspection, not predict what may occur after we leave or within the next 5 miles or 5,000 miles. When purchasing a vehicle of this age and mileage, you do so with the expectation to have to put money into then with regularity to keep to then operational. Things will fail from age and wear. It is naturally regrettable that this customer is unhappy, but in this case we did not feel a refund was warranted. Sincerely, J W[redacted]Customer Service Team PS I have attached two photos.
