Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
MrW*** had the
opportunity on 12/2/to have his mechanic check the alternator because of the reported malfunction, but he chose not to. MrW*** did not respond to my distress call on 6/24/16, having almost all day to call back on 6/27/when I had to call him again at 3:51pm that day. Distance to MrW***’s shop is miles from Eugene, OR. Tow charge to MrW***’s shop would have been $1665.
Proving himself not dependable with overcharges (Bounce dryer sheet unsolicited "advice" for $60, overbilling oil changes for BreOil at $20-per quart--putting or quarts when my truck takes 4.3, and others), bad work (air conditioning ineffective having to be redone elsewhere; repeatedly overfilling oil; neglecting to paint second warranted rebuild engine at install which caused rust, alternator), and repeated, defective new parts (distributor, rebuild engine, alternator), MrW*** is now proving how his warranties are also not dependable, a reflection of how he does business.
Sincerely,*** ***

The warranty is a months or 12,miles which ever occurs first which in on the bottom of the invoice that *** signedAlso on the bottom of the invoice it states that all warranty work has to be performed at our shop

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
MrW*** neglects the full story. I called him the next morning on 12/2/15, indicating problems with his alternator to which he responded uncomfortably over the phone, “Bring it in.” Then, I arrived to his shop at my lunch hour with my vehicle that same day.
I called MrW*** on 6/24/16, indicating Les Schwab was testing, believing it was the alternator. I called him again on 6/25/16, a Saturday, when sometimes MrW***’s shop is open, confirming the alternator was identified the problem. I waited for a call back. I had to call MrW*** again in the late afternoon of 6/27/16, with him having voice mails Monday morning indicating a need and problem with his warrantied work. No response
MrW*** received a letter from my lawyer September because of his proven track record to improperly bill and be unwilling to change it, as well as repeated problems with his shop’s work and parts. MrW***’s alternator lasted little over months, and it destroyed my PCM and two others that were brand new. Would MrW*** have diagnosed his alternator at fault if his business had done the work? Or would he have told me that I have a bad PCM, and I would have been charged? Find attached my Verizon phone records showing calls made to MrW*** on the dates and times I have statedReimbursement is all I am asking for: $with proof of receipts given to MrW***.
Sincerely,*** ***

On 12/1/2015 Automotive Diagnostic Center checked the alternator and it had failed and needed to be replaced and re-tested. When Mr. [redacted] called on 6/24/16 to let us know of his issue we suggested that he have it tested in Oregon and report back to us. Next we got a letter from a lawyer so no phone after Mr. [redacted] found out what was wrong with his vehicle.
