Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: Buy looking at [redacted] response it confirms their level of not taking responsibility for any of the actions and damages that had taken place by Automotive ImportsPlease note the original complaint never complained about the cost or possible level of service needed compare to other carsHowever, it does complain about a problem that was identified day one from driving the car and promised to be fixed proper buy them and had never been resolved by Automotive Import’sThe fact is the level of Fraud and incompetence had further damages the car and left my son and a reputable BMW dealer to fix all their mistakesAs for his note about the SEC it is simply not true and completely irrelevant with the issue at large Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I tired to call the customer this is the first I have been made aware of the situation I will certainly look into the issue and determine the correct action to take place I will also follow up with an email to the customer

The vehicle is at our dealership and we are currently tearing down the engine to determine the cause of failure for the customer

There are many things that are not correct or factually true about the statements made by the customer Mr*** was warned by myself, the owner, and the service manager that BMW M5's are a very high risk vehicle to own and they require a lot of service I told him this vehicle would not
be a good vehicle for a college kid and encourage him to look at other cars Most of our vehicles come with a warranty and also qualify for an extended warranty Based upon the incredibly high probability of a mechanical break down no warranty companies would offer any coverage on this car Mr*** proudly stated he has had many super cars and was fine with the risk of owning a car of this nature. The vehicle had a mechanical failure which the Mr*** claims was not needed to be repaired The bearing issue is so common it is the first thing that comes up when you google this vehicle Automotive Imports fixed this for the customer which was over a 5k repair and the customer only paid $of which he has already disputed on his credit card Furthermore we did replace the catalytic converts at no charge to the customer We did use aftermarket parts so as to keep the bill to 5k not 10k The sealer that was used was post the catalytic converter and is more than an acceptable repair The customer was not charged for this repair. This vehicle in questions was serviced very well by the prior owner I shared from day one with MR*** that the clutches were replaced recently by a very reputable shop while under ownership of the previous owner Automotive Imports also inspected and serviced this vehicle There was no more due diligence that could have been done when preparing this vehicle for sale The fluid in the transmission was full and never touched by our shop. Mr*** has a pattern of not being truthful His behavior resulted in revocation of his license to trade and he was imposed with million dollars in fines from the SEC MR*** unwillingly forced his clients to purchase high risk stock and they lost their whole life savings Unlike Mr*** victims he was warned about all of the risks in purchasing this vehicle in advance and warned against doing so Against our advisement he purchased the vehicle and we have spent over 10k in goodwill work for the client Mr*** understood the vehicle was as is and we have gone far above and beyond to accommodate him but Automotive Imports is not responsible for the up keep and maintenance of the this car In prior conversations Mr*** contradicts himself when he tells me *** stepped up big and replaced the pump in the transmission for between 2-3k and now the value has become 5k This behavior aligns with Mr*** inability to be honest

I tired to call the customer this is the first I have been made aware of the situation.  I will certainly look into the issue and determine the correct action to take place.  I will also follow up with an email to the customer.

We have purchased the vehicle back from the customer and the situation has been completely resolved.
