Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I didn't know what was wrong with my car when I first took it in, they ( the shop) told me everything that was wrong with the car ( heater core and Head was cracked)These where the only issues that me and my ( male) friend was told was wrong with my carHe then told the shop to go ahead and fix everything wrong with the carThey agreed to fix all problems and we would pay (the total) to fix all problems, which the mechanic agreedAfter the first time picking up the car, thing ran smoothly until a few day later, when it staring giving all the same issues before I ever sent the car inIt was NOT three weeks later when I took it back , (I have All receipts) from the days that I first took it in, to the last time I took it inMy (male) friend was not told about any additional problems, I was told these ( supposed new issues) on the last time I took in my carThe mechanics and receptionist became very Irate and Disrespectful, because I told the about the unsatisfactory work done on my carMy car is now parked at my home , in fear that I will run hot and possibly re-crack my headsThis should not be happening after taking my car to a Professional mechanic shopAfter spending almost dollars for nothingThey also added a comment on the LAST receipt that states: car has been ran hot multiple times, but nothing on the first two times I took in my carI feel like I am being screwed out of my moneyDue to unsatisfactory work Regards, [redacted] ***

I am rejecting this response because: I didn't know what was wrong with my car when I first took it in, they ( the shop) told me everything that was wrong with the car ( heater core and Head was cracked). These where the only issues that me and my ( male) friend was told was wrong with my car. He then told the shop to go ahead and fix everything wrong with the car. They agreed to fix all problems and we would pay (the total) to fix all problems, which the mechanic agreed. Vehicle came into shop not running. Blown Head Gasket and Heater Core were repairs done to this vehicle. When Customer picked up vehicle, Customer was informed of bad Heater Hoses, Electrical Problems to Cooling Fan, Cracked Coolant Reservoir. Vehicle came back to shop 2 weeks later, Vehicle was...

found to have no coolant in it and customer complained of vehicle over heating. Heater Hose was replaced. Customer's mother returned with vehicle 3 weeks later with yet another Heater Hose blown. Upon driving vehicle in, vehicle was SUPER HOT and SMOKING, again with no coolant in it. Because of the circumstance of not wanting to replace Heater Hoses and fix the Cooling Fan Electrical Issues, and multiple over heating of the engine due to lack of replacement of these parts....WARRANTY has been VOIDED. When Customer picked vehicle up for the last Heater Hose replacement, Customer had a $98.00 charge for parts and labor at which time customer became very irate and verbally inappropriate, because she felt that all of these other issues should have been taken care of at the expense of the shop. Male friend who was the one paying the initial bill had been informed of all above remaining mentioned issues with the vehicle and did not want to get them addressed at the time. Upon completion of the Head Gasket work, Mechanic found cause of original problem of Blown Head Gasket due to Heater Core dumping coolant out onto interior floor. Ms. [redacted] was addressed at that time to correct the problem or it would happen again and she refused to want to spend the money to change Heater Core out but then informed Mechanic that she had a used Heater Core in the Vehicle, at this time Male friend was contacted and the issue was brought to his attention and because he was paying the repair bill he gave Mechanic the OK to replace the Heater Core.

I refuse to invest any more time in having battle of the wits and explaining to this gentlemen that knows absolutely nothing about an automobile, as seeing in his complaint he thinks that there is a problem with hoses being hooked up wrong causing anti-freeze to go into the radiator which is...

something that needs to go into the radiator to cool the engine. This gentlemen is upset cause he just paid Automotive Works $1300 for a head job in which was done due to oil getting in the radiator from a previous head job that Automotive Works did not perform. Customer felt that Automotive Works should have paid for a starter that went out a week after customer picked up his car and two weeks later pay for a idle air controller from the time the head job was done because we were the last ones to work on his car. Customer is upset because $1300 ONLY paid for a head job and felt that we should have disassembled, diagnosed and fixed all issues with his car and felt $1300 should have been enough to do so.
