AutoNation Chevrolet West Colonial Reviews (6)

I am a year old college graduate and feel I was totally disrespected by Autonation Chevrolet West Colonial, OrlandoFirst they "bait and switched" meThe vehicle I made for an apt to see wasn't available for saleThen I signed a contract and put a $1,down on a vehicle at Autonation in Clearwater and was told I couldn't go and pick it up but it would be in Orlando in a few daysWhen nobody contacted me, II called and found the vehicle was sold by the Clearwater dealerThe sales manager told the salesman, the vehicle wasn't mine until I drove it off the lotIt took 7-days to get my deposit back and I had wasted a whole day at the dealer and and another days thinking I didn't need to look for a carI deleted all my research on my computer and there is no way I would ever waste my time at Autonation West Colonial and want others to know this story

We bought a $70,000 Tahoe from AutoNation West Colonial back in November of 2014. While we were there buying the SUV they treated us very well. They did take all day, I'm saying from about 10:00 to 7:00 which is just unprofessional. We had to come back the next day so they could get some paperwork done that they didn't do the day we bought it. When we bought the truck we told the salesman there was a small rip in the driver seat. He told us since we're coming back in January to bring the SUV back he would give us a rental while we were in Orlando. He said they would fix my seat [redacted] got rated leave Orlando it would be ready. We showed up in January like we said and the sales guy did not work there any longer. It took from November to March to get my seat taken of. Altogether with email and phone calls I attempted to get in touch with them 13 times. I had [redacted] call me from AutoNation and we went back-and-forth about my seat she finally have the parts sent to my home but then I had to constantly call about the check. She told me and I can pay for it and they would reimburse me I wasn't about to do that. I have had the worst time with AutoNation West colonial and I would never ever send anyone to them. Once you walk out the door with your new vehicle they're done with you! Because I had to make the phone messages I had to leave the emails I sent and then I finally sent one out to go to all the Chevy dealerships and then I got a call I think he was the general manager. The funny thing was [redacted] told me the check was signed and it was leaving on Monday I waited for two weeks she sent me an email that was not friendly telling me she has nothing else to do with it because the check was done. When I talk to the general manager he said he would drop the check sign it and personally put it in the mail for me. Finally I did receive the check and on March 17th I finally got my truck taken care of. Although that experience was also hectic since my husband had to leave work to follow me to the Chevy dealership then they called me not long after I got home told me my truck was ready I had to call my husband he had to leave work again to take me to pick up my truck. I do not think anyone should get this kind of treatment, I think when messages are left they should be returned I left several messages for Tabatha the receptionist would put me through to whoever and I would leave messages but I never got a call back. A friend of mine just a general manager of the Chevy dealership where I live told me he would make a phone call if I didn't get anywhere with this but luckily after all these months trying to get that taken care of I got the check. I have bought several new vehicles in my lifetime and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. It was very emotional stressful and just downright unacceptable. I could not and will not ever suggest to anyone to go to AutoNation West colonial. I'm leaving this message in hopes that they will improve the way they treat people after they leave the third new vehicle. I can tell you this I felt like I was bothering people I felt like nobody would listen to me I felt like well honestly I should I had to go through any of this. I am still stressed out from the way I've been treated after I bought my vehicle. I was also informed that I could only get my truck serviced any AutoNation dealership. I have since found out that that is not true I can take it to any Chevy dealership and have it serviced repaired or whatever I need done. Why they told me I could only take it to an auto nation dealership is beyond me. Honestly I'm just appalled at the way your dealership treats

On January 6, I purchased a Honda Civic EX coupe for my daughter from AutoNation Chevrolet West Colonial for $6, In addition to the car I purchased their Vehicle Protection Plan (gold Level) and Gap Insurance for an approximate total of $2, My daughter test drove the car, but because we were on city streets she never went above mph At the time of purchase, I asked if I could have the car checked out by my mechanic They agreed I could do this but only after I took delivery of the car The finance manager assured me that if any issues were found, I could file a claim with the protection plan company to cover the cost
On the way home, we drove the car above mph and heard a noise that sounded like we had a flat tire We checked and all tires were fine I drove directly to my mechanic and within minutes of looking at the car he determined that it needed front struts After a more thorough inspection, he found multiple issues that would cost $1,to repair At this point, I sent the list of issues to Auto Nation and requested that they make the repairs I was told that since it was a used car sold "As Is" they would not pay for any repairs and I should submit a claim to the protection plan company
I then called the service contract provider and was informed that since the problems existed when I bought the car, they were not covered In addition, closer examination of the list of items covered by the service plan revealed that most of the items would not have been covered even if they weren't pre-existing
I was upset on many levels by this time because I felt they should have been aware of the severity of the issues and also been aware that the service contract company would not cover pre-existing issues I was disrespected and ignored by the organization in general and the Finance Manager in particular I admit to being naive enough to believe them but I was astonished by the level of dishonesty shown by AutoNation
Fortunately, I was saved by their 3-day money back return policy so I was able to return the car at no cost I asked what they would do with the car when I returned it The Finance Manager told me they would make the repairs before putting the car back up for sale at a new price that took the repair costs into consideration I checked their website three days after I returned the car and the same car was listed for sale at a $price reduction

I went to AutoNation Chevrolet to buy a car on my own for the first time, so I was excited about this experience and confident they would help me and not take advantage on the little knowledge I had on buying a car. I went in, ALREADY having a check from my bank containing my car loan and even gave it to them as soon as I walked in. I said "Here is my loan from my bank, I do not need you to reach out to other loan companies". I was told that since I already have a loan, the process should not be very long once I pick out a car. After looking through the lot, test driving some cars and deciding on one, it was finally time to fill out paperwork. Little did I know, this was going to take 6[redacted] HOURS. After 2 hours, I was of course getting restless and asked what the big holdup was and they told me they were "finalizing paperwork". What they were ACTUALLY doing was sending my information out to different loan companies, where I ultimately they had me paying my loan through a different company other than my bank. Remember this is even AFTER I give them my check from my bank. Not only that, they had my APR rate at 7%!! That is insane!! So I don't know what they did with that check. Thankfully, I have a good relationship with my bank and they were able to cancel my account with the 3rd party loan company and bring it back over to the bank, where I am currently paying it through, and they got me back down to a NORMAL APR rate of 2.5%. This is just one of many bad examples I have from that day of buying my car through AutoNation on West Colonial. I do not recommend anyone go there when buying a car for the first time, let alone buying a car at all.

I am a 68 year old college graduate and feel I was totally disrespected by Autonation Chevrolet West Colonial, Orlando. First they "bait and switched" me. The vehicle I made for an apt to see wasn't available for sale. Then I signed a contract and put a $1,000 down on a vehicle at Autonation in Clearwater and was told I couldn't go and pick it up but it would be in Orlando in a few days. When nobody contacted me, II called and found the vehicle was sold by the Clearwater dealer. The sales manager told the salesman, the vehicle wasn't mine until I drove it off the lot. It took 7-10 days to get my deposit back and I had wasted a whole day at the dealer and and another 4 days thinking I didn't need to look for a car. I deleted all my research on my computer and there is no way I would ever
