Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because Allen Samuels has clearly breached their agreement about waiving the diagnostic charge with repair or the service advisors provided me with information I was told by three service advisors before leaving my car, that the diagnostic charge would be waived with repair (***, [redacted] , and [redacted] ) and now everyone is trying to back pedal just to charge more money and/or cover their behindsI cannot believe Allen Samuels, a [redacted] Certified Dealer, is willing to cheat a customer out of $for a simple repair just to justify why extra charges were added to my billYou all tell customers their diagnostic fee is waived with repair just to get our business than do a bait and switch by masking all or a part of the diagnostic charge on our final bill as labor, this explains why [redacted] tried to originally charge me over $200.00, but could not justify the labor being that high for job that takes no more than to minutes max when I originally questioned the quoted priceIf you all were trying to save me some money by quote unquote discounting the diagnostic fee, as you wrote in your response back, you guys would not be wasting your ***e fighting $just to lose any customer's business, presently or future customers, who may come to the Revdex.com site to check out a companyYour service manager added extra charges to my bill and instead of fessing up and correcting the mistake when I brought it to his attention you all chose to try and do a cover upThis could have been handled on Friday, my car would have gotten fixed and the Revdex.com would have never been contactedAs far as my conversation with [redacted] regarding my dispute over being charged $in labor verses the $I was quoted at one point, which apparently is now being coded as a partial diagnostic fee, I asked him, why would I pay you all more then I have to for an install that I could do myself in less then minutes by going to AutoZone, not O'Reilys and buying the partI wanted you all to do the repair, but by the terms I were told when I came in (Diagnostic fee waived, and I pay for parts and labor)The only reason I went to Allen Samuels in the first place when I suspected the turn signal relay was probably bad was to have you guys check to confirm I did not have any oher electrical issues since General Motors has had major recalls within the last year and and I had received a recall letter regarding my Day ***e Running Lights but General Motors are still working on a fix for thatBoy did I make a huge mistake by coming here, I could have went to John McClaren Chevrolet in McGregor and probably not gone through all of thisYou all represent the General Motors and Chevrolet brand but this is how a Chevrolet owner is treated if they come to Allen Samuels for repairs to their vehicleLastly, I had no choice but to pay the $diagnostic fee otherwise you all would not release my car without me giving authorization to repair my car at the now higher quoted price which I was not going to agree to or sign off on and you guys know that I hope you all choose to do the right thing so that this will not be taking further and honor what I was previously told and charge me for the labor which at most is $and the part of $if I have to pay the $shop fee as well that is fine but I am not paying a partial diagnostic charge when I was told it would be waivedI have already paid $because my car would not have been released if I didn't pay so all I owe to get my car repaired is about $or $Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I am not going to pay the diagnosis charge that they want to chargeI already paid over $to have my car fixedIt was diagnosed already for free at Autozone, therefore it is not at all necessaryThe part is not used it is reconditioned from rockauto.comThere is nothing wrong with it Regards, [redacted]

We will defer to our response on 4/29/concerning Mr [redacted] 's rejection of our response Mr [redacted] 's part was not a New GM part purchased from our dealership or any other GM dealership but a "reconditioned" part brought into the dealership and connected by Mr [redacted] When the techniciatn finished no check engine light was on Mr [redacted] did not return the same day or any other day to have his vehicle rechecked and since Mr [redacted] claims there is nothing wrong with the part we are at a bypass As stated the Service Advisor was doing her job as to inform Mr [redacted] that additional charges may occur That offer is still valid

This is in response to Ms ***’s response which wereceived on 12/18/14. Ms*** spoketo Mr***, ** and Mr*** concerning her complaints and Ms *** wastold the repairs would be $for the total repair. Before a vehicle can be fixed it must be diagnosed. IfAllen Samuels Chevrolet would simply replace a part without doing a diagnosisthat would be fraudulent not knowing if a part was faulty. If Ms*** feels that by going to AutoZone and replacingthe part by herself as stated in her letter, take less than minutes, AllenSamuels Chevrolet would not recommend it, but can not stop her either We have certified technicians who are trainedto do this and to make the diagnosis. Ms *** stated “your service manager added extra chargesto my bill”. *** *** the ServiceManager did not add any “extra” charges to her bill. Ms*** was quoted and paid the $fordiagnosis We realize we can not satisfy every customer even thou westrive to do so, Ms*** has indicated that Allen Samuels Chevrolet tried tocheat out of $27. Ms *** was offereda free oil change the next ***e she came into the store which is in excess of$27. By offering to do so we were extendingcustomer satisfaction to Ms ***, however our offer was rejected. Allen Samuels Chevrolet has an A+ rating with the Revdex.com, whichwe strive to please our customers and do not feel Ms***’s complaints arevalid

Complaint: ***

Regards,
They did not do the job right to begin with and are trying to put the blame on me or my part and should recheck it for freeI'm not going to bring my car back in as long as they want to charge me more moneyThey already charged me over $and want more? Why not refund my money or fix it right? Instead of trying to squeeze more money out of meYou people should be ashamed of yourselves

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because Allen Samuels is still not acknowledging the heart of my complaint, that three of their employees told me that the diagnostic fee is waived with repairI have NEVER asked Allen Samuels to perform work on my car with out diagnosing the problem as insinuated by the last responseI also never stated that *** *** added extra charges to my billPer the Allen Samuels website *** *** is the Service Director and *** *** is the Service Manager and *** *** is the one who added the additional $to my billWhat I was told when I brought my car in is that a diagnostic would be done to determine what the problem is and as long as they do the repair all I would have to pay for is labor and the partIf that is not true we have a bigger issue meaning that Allen Samuels employees are providing customers if information and that constitute fraud All I am requesting is that Allen Samuels honor what was stated to me and charge me for the $labor and $for the partI also do not have a problem paying the $shop charge even though *** said he would waive thatTo address the offer Dave *** made about a free oil change, Mr*** stated that he was sending me a coupon for a free oil change regardless because of the problems I had with his service department which I never received or asked forI NEVER was offered or agreed to a free oil change in lieu of getting my car fixed as requested I get coupons in the mail all the ***e from Allen Samuels so I know that does not mean a whole lot to send one for a free oil changeI did not ask for or do I need an oil change done on my car, all I want is my car fixed as promised. If you all can pass out a coupon you all can honor what was told to me and keep your couponsThis is getting very ridiculous that you all are making up every excuse in the book just to not honor what was told to meAgain all I am requesting is that my car is fixed as promised, the diagnostic fee waived, I pay for the half hour labor and the part, and since I've already paid $dollars to get my car released all I owe is $or $Also I am making it very clear that I am not asking Allen Samuels to perform work on my car without doing a diagnosticThe diagnostic was done to determine the problem and the fee was to be WAIVED WITH REPAIR per three Allen Samuels employeesI hope this is clear to allRegards,*** ***

Response to Ms. [redacted] Revdex.com case.  The customer original complaint was as follows. “Customer states turn signals and flasher inoperative ** diag and advise** The technician performed a complete diagnosis to the vehicle for the turn signals and hazard flashers not...

working. [redacted] had tech #107 perform the diagnosis which led to the hazard /turn signal relay not making contact or allowing voltage to pass through the second leg of the relay. The relay has an internal mechanical malfunction which will require the relay to be replaced in order for the turn signals and hazard lights to operate correctly. [redacted] gave the following es[redacted]ate to Ms. [redacted] Labor Diagnosis/Repair           $80.00 Parts                                      $39.68 Tax                                          $3.27 ___________________________ Total                                   $122.95 By the book/Alldata which is the manual we use for our labor [redacted]e guide the following is what she should have been quoted Diagnosis               $53.0 Repair                    $53.00 Parts                      $39.68 Tax                          $3.27 Shop Supplies           $1.06 ______________________ Total                    $150.01 [redacted] had actually save Ms [redacted] $27.06 Our stated door rate is $106.00 per flat rate hour. [redacted] had Ms. [redacted] sign the write up sheet where she agreed to pay the $80.00 diagnosis fee. Ms [redacted] stated she could get the parts from O’Reilly auto parts and that she was declining to have the repairs made at our service department. She paid for the diagnosis took her vehicle that evening.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I am not going to pay the diagnosis charge that they want to charge. I already paid over $100.00 to have my car fixed. It was diagnosed already for free at Autozone, therefore it is not at all necessary. The part is not used it is...

reconditioned from rockauto.com. There is nothing wrong with it.
Regards,
[redacted]

We will defer to our response on 4/29/15 concerning Mr. [redacted]'s rejection of our response.  Mr.  [redacted]'s part was not a New GM part purchased from our dealership or any other GM dealership but a "reconditioned" part brought into the dealership and connected by Mr. [redacted].  When the techniciatn finished no check engine light was on.   Mr. [redacted] did not return the same day or any other day to have his vehicle rechecked and since Mr. [redacted] claims there is nothing wrong with the part we are at a bypass.  As stated the Service Advisor was doing her job as to inform Mr. [redacted] that additional charges may occur.  That offer is still valid.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because Allen Samuels has clearly breached their agreement about waiving the diagnostic charge with repair or the service advisors provided me with false information . I was told by three service advisors before leaving my car, that the diagnostic charge would be waived with repair ([redacted], [redacted] , and [redacted]) and now everyone is trying to back pedal just to charge more money and/or cover their behinds. I cannot believe Allen Samuels, a ** Certified Dealer, is willing to cheat a customer out of $27.00 for a simple repair just to justify why extra charges were added to my bill. You all tell customers their diagnostic fee is waived with repair just to get our business than do a bait and switch by masking all or a part of the diagnostic charge on our final bill as labor, this explains why [redacted] tried to originally charge me over $200.00, but could not justify the labor being that high for job that takes no more than 15 to 30 minutes max when I originally questioned the quoted price. If you all were trying to save me some money by quote unquote discounting the diagnostic fee, as you wrote in your response back, you guys would not be wasting your [redacted]e fighting $27.00 just to lose any customer's business, presently or future customers, who may come to the Revdex.com site to check out a company. Your service manager added extra charges to my bill and instead of fessing up and correcting the mistake when I brought it to his attention you all chose to try and do a cover up. This could have been handled on Friday, my car would have gotten fixed and the Revdex.com would have never been contacted. As far as my conversation with [redacted] regarding my dispute over being charged $80.00 in labor verses the $53.00 I was quoted at one point, which apparently is now being coded as a partial diagnostic fee, I asked him, why would I pay you all more then I have to for an install that I could do myself in less then 5 minutes by going to AutoZone, not O'Reilys and buying the part. I wanted you all to do the repair, but by the terms I were told when I came in (Diagnostic fee waived, and I pay for parts and labor). The only reason I went to Allen Samuels in the first place when I suspected the turn signal relay was probably bad was to have you guys check to confirm I did not have any oher electrical issues since General Motors has had major recalls within the last year and and I had received a recall letter regarding my Day [redacted]e Running Lights but General Motors are still working on a fix for that. Boy did I make a huge mistake by coming here, I could have went to John McClaren Chevrolet in McGregor and probably not gone through all of this. You all represent the General Motors and Chevrolet brand but this is how a Chevrolet owner is treated if they come to Allen Samuels for repairs to their vehicle. Lastly, I had no choice but to pay the $80.00 diagnostic fee otherwise you all would not release my car without me giving authorization to repair my car at the now higher quoted price which I was not going to agree to or sign off on and you guys know that.   I hope you all choose to do the right thing so that this will not be taking further and honor what I was previously told and charge me for the labor which at most is $53.00 and the part of $42.95 if I have to pay the $1.00 shop fee as well  that is fine but I am not paying a partial diagnostic charge when I was told it would be waived. I have already paid $80.00 because my car would not have been released if I didn't pay so all I owe to get my car repaired is about $16.00 or $17.00 Regards,[redacted]
