I would be willing to go to a $trade value on the Caliber if it is in the same condition that it was at the time of purchase and is traded for another vehicle from our location I have no problem getting a vehicle from another Autonation store however if it is out of state there will be a charge to Mr [redacted] I feel we have done nothing wrong but I do want to help Everything that has happened with the vehicle has been taken care of for the customer Thank you

I just left him a messageThis is the first that I have heard of thisI checked with my service department and we have seen the vehicle for these issues twice and are not able to duplicate the problemHe says his issues happens only when he is towing with the vehicleThe last time the vehicle was here we used one of our trailers here at the store and put some weight on it and still couldn’t get it to happenI am not sure what more we can do at the dealership levelPlease let me know if you need anything more from me.Thank you[redacted]

This customer complaint was correctThe problem that we ran into was that the customer had disputed the cost of the warranty after he had taken delivery and contracted on the vehicleWe had agreed that we would honor the lower price that
they have been offered by another dealer so the customer needed to reconstruct with the lower amountUnfortunately there was some confusion from the credit union and the original contract was fundedThis was not the customers fault and we should have been able to take care of this soonerAt this point we have refunded the difference to the credit union and resolved the situation

When we did the inspection on the car the tires where above our tread guidelines. We do not pull tires off of the rims to check for plugs in the inspection process. The customer called with his concerns and I offered to pay for a new tire. Now he is wanting all new tires for the
vehicle. I feel the one tire offer was more than generous with the car being sold over months ago. Please let me know if you need anything else from me. Thank you

The refund check was mailed out on November 15th. It was sent to *** *** *** *** because we didn't have proof that the vehicle was paid in full. *** *** *** *** cashed the check on November 25th. I have a message into them to see if they will be sending it
to the customer or if it has already been done. I will be back in contact when I hear from *** *** of if the member can call it might have been deposited in the savings account

Did AutoNation bother to fully read the complaint? The check was mailed in November and I called ***They couldn't apply it to the loan because they no longer owned i,t thus another confirmation that it was definitely paid in full! There is no excuse for AutoNations serious lack of communication and horrible customer servic;e let alone lying about how this situation was actually handledAutoNation’s, handling of this issue is unacceptable despite the outcomeYour finance department told our rep to call in weeks if we hadn't received our refund at, the beginning of SeptemberIt wasn't until the 26th that she informed our rep that it would be up to weeksNo need to contact *** as I have already remedied the situation and received our refundAutoNation didn't even bother to relay to us that they mailed the check to ***Either wayI will NEVER do business with AutoNation again!! I am rejecting this response because: The dealership makes it sound like they called the other in state dealership the same day that I told them about the car when in reality I called the dealership every day except Sunday for seven days and every day I was given the same response that they had been too busy to inquire about the car and that they would call me back just as soon as they had a chance to find out about the other carI'm also rejecting it because I went to the other dealership myself on the seventh day to discover that the other car had been sold at which point I informed *** *** West about the status of the other carI'm also rejecting this response because it fails to address the fact that they are refusing to honor the agreement I made with the other manager there about being given my full purchase price towards the purchase of another vehicle not a new appraised value for the vehicle a month after owning the car3/of said month the dealership had possession of the vehicle repairing the mechanical defects that popped up in the first days of ownershipwhen I told the manager there that they needed to make it right for failing to inquire about the in state car by paying for the shipping for one of the out of state carsTheir response was that they where making it right by giving me $for my car instead of the full purchase price of $But even if they did agree to pay for the shipping on either car I can't afford to finance the difference after just buying this one a month agoThe only thing that can make this situation right is by taking the car back from me and giving me a full refund so that I can go buy a car at a different dealership

I spoke with the boyfriend yesterday and offered to help with the labor costs.  When we do our used car inspections we do a battery test and if at that time it needs a battery we replace it.  If we sold the car with a bad battery it would have had issues within a few days of purchase not...

three weeks later.  With a battery we have no way of knowing how long it will last after a purchase.   We want to help but purchasing a battery for the customer a month after the purchase is a challenge.  I can still offer to help with the labor if they want to get the battery replaced.  Please let me know.  Thank you.

Mr [redacted] came in on the 9th day of ownership and asked for his money back.  I told him we had a 3 day money back policy and I wasn't able to return the car on the 9th day.  He then told me it had transmission problems and I offered to get the car in the shop and get it fixed and also...

provide him with a loaner vehicle at no charge to him.  He said no and said he was going to trade it in at a different dealer and take a 4k loss on the vehicle and he left.  I then heard back from him over a week later and he said to get a car from one of our local dealerships and try to trade him into it.  When I called that store the vehicle had been sold.  I let the customer know that it had been sold.  He then found some out of state and asked me to get one of them.  I told him that he would have some shipping costs on any of those cars and he was upset.  I feel that we have done nothing wrong.  The vehicle did get fixed at no charge to him and we have been compliant with everything we agreed to do.  It is our policy to not return a vehicle after 3 days.  Please let me know if you need any other information.  Thank you.
