Auto Nation Ford - Scottsdale, Arizona I wish to express to you my disgust with the Auto Nation Ford dealershipWe have had nothing but issues and have been disrespected on more than one occasionLet me spell out the situation so it is in writing as wellMy fiancé and I went to this dealership to buy a Ford Explorer on August 18th, I worked with [redacted] in sales to show me some new ExplorersBefore I got to the dealership I gave credit information, income information, etcto another sales person who was not in at my appointment time (I don't remember his name)I expressed the situation that we are in and that this is a difficult deal to make so I did not want to drive all the way from Gilbert to the Scottsdale location to go through a car deal only to have it not approvedSo we did all of the work before I got there [redacted] greeted me and took over the deal because the original guy missed the appointment [redacted] had me redo all of the credit apps and income sheetsWe went through it all and he showed me several ExplorersHe started working with [redacted] (sales manager) to get the deal doneWe were able to get the deal written up on the perfect truck for us, ensuring that this would get done [redacted] did all of the financing and was incredible (so far)We drove off in our new Explorer XLT, with everything that we wanted on itIt was perfectdays later (August 22, 2014) my fiancé received a phone call from [redacted] who let us know that we need to immediately bring the car back and that there was no way the bank would finance thisShe was at work so expressed to [redacted] to call me because I was homeI never received any calls from ***He called her back and left a voice mail saying that he called me several times and it went straight to voice mail (not true)He stated that he would need us to get to the dealership to go over our optionsShe after called me in tears saying that [redacted] was completely rude to her and scolded her several times after she stated to [redacted] that we were leaving to California for a special occasion and couldn't come by until Monday after we returnHe was very rude and when she addressed it to him saying, "there is no need to be rude" he responded saying "I'm not being rude, I am being blunt." He then said that if we left with the car or drove it any more then we would be charged mileageShe then hung up the phone because she could not stand to be scolded anymoreAfter I got off the phone with my fiancé, I called our finance manager ***He didn't answer several times, I kept tryingI finally got a hold of him right before he left on vacationI told him that we got a call from [redacted] saying that the deal didn't get done and we have to roll back the truckHe expressed that this is the first he has heard of this and that he was in disbeliefHe told me that he would dive into this, call Ford Financing and let me know asapI expressed our short time schedule and stressed the need to leave for California immediately [redacted] called me back and said that [redacted] told him that the deal needed $thousand and change down to get approvedI told him that there was no wayHe apologized and said to come in and get into a used oneSo he said he worked with [redacted] directly on this and set it all up for an approval, he said that Ford told him exactly what it is going to take to get approved, mileage, year, price point, etcSo we had an approval, just not on the new oneMy fiancé and I rushed down to the dealership on our way out to California, it is around 4pmI was greeted by ***, who was shocked to see usHe wondered why we were hereI told him that the deal didn't get financed, and he said "what?" He sat us down, offered us water, and went to [redacted] *** [redacted] was already gone for vacation [redacted] said that [redacted] had given [redacted] all of the details that Ford Financing needed to get the approvalSo he pulled up a Explorer with 40,miles on itIt was the wrong color, used, but was equipped very similarly to the that we "bought" beforeWe drove it and asked if they had any others to show us, they said noThat this was the only car that they could get us inWhile [redacted] wrote up the deal and numbers, [redacted] said that customer service would like to talk to usNatasha met us and was very niceWe told her the story of the phone calls from [redacted] ***, the rudeness, the back and forth, etcShe apologized and said that there was no way it was [redacted] ***, that it was ***t in FinanceIt wasn't, but they kept saying that it was him and not [redacted] ***, that [redacted] is the nicest guy everWell, he is not and we know it was himWe even have him on voice mail stillShe dismissed it and said that she would like to give us a free tank of gasI expressed that I would like to write a formal complaint and she said that we already did because she handles thisIt went no whereShe did explain that she could personally guarantee that this next car deal would happen and there would be no call to bring it backShe said that the only way this deal wouldn't get done is if "lightning struck the building and we needed to fill out paperwork again"The numbers came back and we made another car dealThey told us that they moved all of the warranties and everything that we bought in finance over to this new dealBecause [redacted] was out on vacation, they had another finance manager (with glasses) help us, he sat next to ***'s office, don't remember his nameWe rushed through paperwork, until we got to warranties and he starts trying to sell us on another warrantyWe expressed that all of this should be in the price that we were givenHe said no [redacted] didn't put any of that in thereHe only put a standard warranty inI flippedWe were lied to yet againI said we have no deal thenHe called [redacted] ***, because he left as soon as we went to finance, and told him this deal is blowing up and that we wanted all of the warrantiesThey went back and forth for a min or two and then he said, "I got it, I'll take care of it"And he hung up the phoneThen he goes to explain that [redacted] didn't put those in there but that he would do it and it would raise our payment $per monthWe agreed because by now it is almost 9pm and we need to get on the road to CaliforniaWe go to get in the car and hit the road when we notice that it really smells like smoke [redacted] stated and put in the deal that you guys would deodorize the car and take the smell away when we got back and they would give us free tank of gasWe had little fight in us by now as this is getting ridiculousSo we leftForced to drive through the night now instead of being in California by then because of all of this messWhen we returned to the state, we scheduled time with the dealership service department (***) to get it all taken care ofI dropped the car off and they put me in a rental carWe didn't hear from anyone so we called at 5pm asking if the car was done or what the deal is, [redacted] said that it is not done and that they would need $1,to fix the broken door panel that I told them aboutI expressed that it is under warranty seeing as though we bought the appearance warranty and all of the extended ones tooThe two front windows also wobbled and we had them "fix" that alsoI was pissed, I told [redacted] about the warranty and he said that it is not coveredSo I called ***, who was still on vacation and left voice mailWhen we got to the dealership to pick up the car the next afternoon, it smelled better, but the door panel wasn't fixed (as I mentioned earlier), the windows which they said were repaired, were still wobbling and brokenFurther, I noticed that the [redacted] antenna ball was brokenMy son was very upset as we just got this in [redacted] that weekendWe told [redacted] about it, and he said that he would fix it somehowThey went back with the car and came back with it back on the antennaI asked the man dropping car off if he just glued it on there, he said noHe liedI pulled it off with force and it was all over the antenna, glue was drippingI told [redacted] who was very apologeticI was so pissed I went inside to find [redacted] (who was still on vacation), or some manager to helpOne other finance manager came out once [redacted] found himHe saw me, said that this is [redacted] ***' deal, and he turned and walked away, very rude [redacted] was confused [redacted] went up to [redacted] and he didn't acknowledge meI went and sat and waited for him to come talk to meHe never didIn fact, he walked right by meI then went to the receptionist and asked if I could speak with the GMThey told me that it was [redacted] , but that he were goneI asked for a cell number or emailShe said that she could get another manager to help, I said no I need someone above [redacted] ***He does nothing and is extremely rudeShe said ok and gave me an email addressShe couldn't give me a number but said if I picked up the phone over on the wall that it would connect directly to the GM and that he always answersHe didn't of course and I left a voice mail to not be returned yet againWe left pissed off yet againIt has now been since the 22nd of August and we have been getting hounded by Santander (who is the trade in car loan we had)They have heard nothing from anyone at the dealership on the trade and are calling daily for a paymentWe have been calling [redacted] in finance over times (no exaggeration) to get an update, no response, no return calls, no answerIt has been blackDeadWe decide to call Ford Finance and speak to them on the car loan and what to do because not a single person at your dealership will help usand they have zero record of her in the system or any record of any deal ever being submitted approved or not approvedWhich leads me to believe that the new wasn't even submittedThey told us to contact the dealership right away as that is very wrongWe did and got no responseWe waited and waitedFinally after over calls and several emails, we hear a response from [redacted] the GMHis email is short and says "what is a good number to call you on?" Keep in mind that he has all of our numbers in the contracts and the several emails that we have sentWe respond immediately and waitnothingNo callSeveral days later we get a call from the dealershipNo it's not the GM [redacted] , it is [redacted] ***He says that they didn't get an approval and we have to get the car backWe are pissedThey lied AGAIN! This dealership is a complete jokeThey completely disregard the customer's needs, feelings, and wantsThey shuffle around and put people offThey do not deal with issues, they pass it along and blame other peopleNO ONE TAKES ACCOUNTABILITY! I would never want anyone I know or don't know to go through the hassle of dealing with these peopleThey are a complete joke and from service department to sales to the GM, they are all dishonest and unprofessionalDO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Trust me, you will regret it

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowMy issue with the Autonation Fiord does not feel resolved as it appears they will not acknowledge they missed diagnosed the repair, then tried to over charge for the repair and have low business morals. Again I took my vehicle to another repair shop and visibly saw the part that Automation claimed was broken and it wasn't. The new shop repaired the correct damaged piece for just over $200 and the vehicle now works fine. It is to bad in this day and age that there are businesses like Autonation ford who operate with low integrity. Their GMs response was not satisfactory. Regards, [redacted] ***

We will have a check for this gentleman by the end of this week. There is one form that needs to be completed and we will call him today to have it expedited. Thank You, Gabe

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me I will wait until April 18, for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved Regards, [redacted]

We purchased a Mustang from the above dealer, 12/6/During the purchase we were told we should buy an extended coverage on the car, which we did for $which expires 12/6/2019.Due to a physical problem I had to sell the auto, purchasing a replacement I have repeatedly tried to contact a responsible party at the dealer to see if I could recoop some of the warrantee money not used as the purchaser of the Mustang did not want the warrantee No response from the dealer has been received
Obviously , once they get your money its goodby

MISLEADING....LIARS.....SCAM ARTIST
we recently purchased an ffrom autonation fordwe were very happy with the truck
The finance manager Bastion (crook) told us he would knock the interest rate down and add features to protect the truckHe swindled his way through the system acting like he was helping usWe told him we had a budget and to stick to itHe said you are approved, you can send in your plate as we are issuing new plates
after days we never heard from our supposed loan companyafter I had to contact Autonation of ***, they told us the loan hasn't gone through yet and will call me back
Gabe (another crook and a coward) called me with a friend in the vehicle and told me "everything is approved and good to go and your payment will stay the same." I told him to remove all the extras Bastion put on there to help lower the payment." he said he would and see us there that afternoon to get it all finalizes since it was end of month and that nothing would changeHe also left a voice mail to my wife stating the same comments, we were approved by ford credit and nothing was going to change
we arrived at autonation ford, magically gabe was no where to be found , so we had to deal with another POS by the name of Christos A***He told us they wanted 11k in cash to keep the truck or they would take it and give us our trade in backthat they could not help us and that after confronting him about their tactics to screw people, he "said they are standard practice in Arizona" he was disrespectful, rude and a complete *** to people who were willing to pay 60k for a truckI have a recording, a witness and documentation and photos of their mal-practices and will seek a lawyerthey do not treat and swindle people like this
we have been going to autonation, *** ***, for years, buying trucks and cars they have lost a customer and will lose a community of sales , buy hiring shady finance managers
DO NOT BUY HERE

While the sales person and finance person at the time of the sale were courteous and polite, the finance person (*** ***) in charge of assisting me in an incorrect charge was at best incompetent After numerous emails (and utter confusion on her part) she did very little to rectify the situation, and in fact hindered it After dealing with her sloppy work for weeks, she gave me the # for Corp *** *** *** to help solve the problem The funny thing she could have given me the # weeks prior and saved us both wasted time and effort I'm not sure what criteria Autonation Ford Scottsdale uses to hire their staff, but I believe their standards are low Save yourself the time and hassle, stay far away from this dealership at all costs

Don't PURCHASE or SERVICE a car here:
DO NOT TRUST THESE TECHNICIANS: Purchased used car from hereDuring the negotiation process I presented the salesman (***) with a list of maintenance my personal mechanic found it needed during his pre-purchase inspection, including Alignment, Rotation, Cooling Service, Transmission Service, and Clips missing from front plastic bumper*** took the list to the Ford technicians and returned to tell me that most of the items on the list, except the missing clips, were not valid requestsHe showed me the Ford Maintenance Schedule for the car, and stated that the cooling and transmission services weren't due for over 30,miles, and that the tires had already been rotatedI thought perhaps my mechanic had "suggested" some of the maintenance to help me in the price negotiation processInstead of clarifying this with my mechanic first, who I have been taking my car to for years, and who never does unnecessary work just to "bring home the gravy," as *** accused him of, I let exhaustion win and just purchased the car for the asking price with the stipulation that at least the Alignment and Clips be taken care of (I could feel the car pull to the right myself)I figured that since nothing major was WRONG with the car, it was worth itUpon pitwo days later, I was told that the technicians said the car was perfectly aligned, so they didn't even do thatAdditionally, I would receive a call when the clips arrived because they hadn't yetI never got that callAnd, more importantly, I took the car back to my mechanic in preparation for a road trip, just to find out that not only were the maintenance items not "suggestions" but URGENTA cooling and transmission services had NEVER been performed on the vehicle in the past, EVER, even though it had 85,miles on it! Again, he also had to do the alignment and rotation because those WERE necessaryDO NOT TRUST THESE TECHNICIANS because they obviously didn't actually look at the fluids and simply printed out the Ford maintenance schedule just to say it wasn't due yetAnd if they said their machine showed the car was perfectly aligned, then their machine must be offI should have listened to my mechanic and negotiated the price down, but being there two days in a row with my 3-year-old in tow got the better of me, and, as I said, I let exhaustion win!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have
determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I took the part which they sent to the dealership to be installedUnfortunately it is not the correct part.
Regards,
*** ***

After receiving the notice sent by the *** regarding the customer’s complaint we proceeded to research the claimThe customer did cancel his warranties on April 21, We then followed proper internal procedure and submitted the cancelations per the customers request and advised him his lien
holder would receive the refund in 4-weeksUnfortunately, due to an internal error the cancellations were not completedThis error did go undetected until nowUpon discovering this oversight we immediately completed the cancellations and overnighted a check to the customer’s lien holderWe do sincerely apologize to the customer for this delayWe were unaware the problem existed until the 19th and acted swiftly to contact the customer the same day to resolve the problem

Dealer ripped me off! I was sold an extended contract for bumper to bumper and maintenance ($5,000)I was able to go to ford direct 0% interest deductible that is FORD (direct) not AutoNation (third party)I got an ok deal on the car so don't buy any extras from AutoNation!! Go get it direct and save (even for maintenance plans)Now after getting a refund I still have a higher payment so buyer beware

I want to write this to prevent anyone from making the mistake of buying a Ford Certified Prowned vehicle from Autonation Ford ScottsdaleI bought a vehicle in August and as I write this in October the vehicle has acquired weeks of being in serviceThat's weeks not in my possession out of the weeks I have owned itThey have slandered the CPO title by putting a troubled vehicle up for sale without the proper inspection required (points to be exact)My first service appointment I needed a motor mount, allignment, paint retouched up that was failing, visor replacedThe list goes onThe main issue still has not been fixed which is reliabilityThe vehicle randomly losses power with a service light, only to disappear if it is turned offI took pictures and scanned codes when it happened to prove it to be fixed and still no repairs will be "authorized"Please save yourself time, money, and your sanity and take your business elsewhereThey do not take responsibility for their actions, nor do they appreciate you as a customer should be
