To whom it may concern,Mr [redacted] brought his Toyota 4-Runner in on March 14th with concerns and wanted a recall completed Problem 1: Mr [redacted] said about month ago the ABS and Trac light came on Problem 2: Roughly months ago the alternator light and check engine light came on plus the speedometer stopped workingThe master technician spent hours working on the 4-runner, finding an alternator wiring harness that needed repairsThis repaired problem The Toyota scan tool showed the ABS module was malfunctioning causing the ABS and Trac light to come onWe gave MrMoore an estimate to replace which he decline We only charged Mr [redacted] $ for hour of workMr [redacted] wrote AutoNation a letter stating his dissatisfaction He purchased a junkyard or aftermarket part and claims it didn't fix his problem, then requested we pay him $ As a goodwill gesture we refunded Mr [redacted] $ 116.17, even though we had repaired an electrical problem (fixing problem 2) and provided a preliminary diagnosis(problem 1) Mr [redacted] declined to refund.We have reviewed the matter and feel we have been more than fair with MrMoore We request the file be closed.Thanks,AutoNation Toyota Corpus Christi

The $ charge was property tax from [redacted] County and not from Toyota or the dealership We offered to pay for this charge as a goodwill gesture.Thanks, [redacted]

Hello,At [redacted] request we processed the calculations and payments have been issued The $ is a Appearance Protection Packaged that was purchased and applied to [redacted] vehicle at his request We hired a local company to apply the undercoating, paint and fabric protection We are unable to remove or return this product Thanks, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:During the finance process my initial answer regarding additional charges was no, it was never disclosed that I would pay a total of $5088.00 for these extras or I would have stood firm with my answer, instead I was told a significant discount would be given and should I trade the vehicle in the investment would be returned to me almost in full.Immediately after receiving my truck back from [redacted] after this "treatment" was applied I complained that my vehicle was actually holding on to dirt, after a trip to the car wash there was a haze left behind that took several hand washes to remove and Additionally after close inspection of the charges applied for extra warranties and so called protections I asked for full cancellation and refund.it took several months to receive all but the $450.00 in question and at no point has anyone ever contacted me to explain or reply to my emails sent to [redacted] Each time I emailed him I received a short responce that he would see what was going on, but I never received an answer.Should the dealership choose to ignore this responce then I expect in writing the description of service I have paid for, it's warranties and expiration period, along with whom to contact regarding claims. I contacted Mr*** and clarified the misunderstanding. The factory warranty wouldn't pay for the damaged condenser, however Toyota repaired it as a goodwill gesture. I gave Mr*** my contact information and encouraged him to call me with
any concerns he has in the future. Please close the file.Thank You,*** ***

We are in the process of cancelling the appearance protection package and the gap insurance paid for on the lancer so we can refund it to Nancy. When we sold [redacted] the Prius we did give her a trade allowance on the lancer which matched the selling price she paid for the vehicle. ...

Appearance protection packages are normally not cancellable however we are making an exception due to the fact there were problems with the initial car we sold her.  Gap cancellations as well as the refund from the appearance protection package usually take about 4 to 6 weeks.

and check engine light came on plus the speedometer stopped working. The master technician spent 3 hours working on the 4-runner, finding an alternator wiring harness that needed repairs. This repaired problem 2.  The Toyota scan tool showed the ABS module was malfunctioning causing the ABS and Trac light to come on. We gave Mr. Moore an estimate to replace which he decline.     We only charged Mr. [redacted] $ 116.17 for 1 hour of work. Mr. [redacted] wrote AutoNation a letter stating his dissatisfaction.  He purchased a junkyard or aftermarket part and claims it didn't fix his problem, then requested we pay him $ 947.06.  As a goodwill gesture we refunded Mr. [redacted] $ 116.17, even though we had repaired an electrical problem (fixing problem 2) and provided a preliminary diagnosis.
