Autos LessE AndersonIdaho Falls, ID 83401208-521-5669In regards to complaint ID [redacted] , we are sorry to inform you and Ms [redacted] that this vehiclewas sold to her with an EXPLICIT informed purchase as being sold "AS-IS".The salesman contacted me and asked "IF" I would let her buy the car because he knew my policyabout selling this type of car, which Is normally not allowedMy answer was: '"YES, as long as theperson buying it understands that this was a trade-In, and not our Inventory and that thepurchaser needs to understand that the only way I will sell this vehicle, Is If they knowingly purchaseIt with no implied warranty of any kind and that this is a wholesale piece".As to the time frame that the vehicle sat here, we are very sorryWe contacted Kendall fromjerry Bergeman & Sons Auto Repair in Idaho Falls and request him .to come and get the vehicle,In which Kendall stated that he would get itAfter noticing that the vehicle had still not been pickedup a week later, we contacted Kendall again and again, it took us times requesting service,and finally the vehicle was picked up by Bergeman's Repair.We were informed by Ms [redacted] that she had just had the car serviced at Jiffy Lube and hadthe serpentine belt replaced at that time of serviceIt's my belief that a professional service facilityworkingon a vehicle's part In question would be liable, or at least inform her of the condition, since it appearsto have been a loose power steering pump that is the cause of the failed part.(Please refer [redacted] ***'s explanation of what appeared to be the main cause of the part failure.}We are sorry, that we couldn't get a quote for repairs at the time when Ms [redacted] dropped the car off.It's very difficult to predict the extent of repairs needed and what a 3rd party charges for their services.My understanding Is that Ms [redacted] was In contact with the repair facility and was aware of the neededwork to repair her carWhen we talked with Kendall, he let us know that instead of charging thecustomer the book rate of hours labor, that he would only charge for hours labor and atour discounted fee.Please find attached the USUAL Buyers Guide that every vehicle sold has Included with the finalizingdocuments AND the explicit document of the buyer acknowledging In BOLD hand writtenlettering with exclamation points after the wording.Since this Is a confirmed explained purchase, above and beyond a vehicle purchase, andthat it will only be sold If the buyer understands AS-IS, I regretfully inform you that we won'tbe able to accept any financial nor personal liability for this particular vehiclePlease contact thefacility that serviced this particular part of the vehicle (Jiffy Lube} for any further refunds requested Sincerely, Jon L***
