Couple of items were broken and they wouldnt fix the most expensive problem. Manager was very hostile and vulgar with me.Took my [redacted] in for installation of wires and spark plugs on Tuesday Nov. 25, 2014. THey charged 210 dollars for labor. In my travels to mothers house for thanskgiving I noticed a hissing noise and stopped to look under the hood, I found that the top of motor housing for the engine compartment was loose and the dip stick casing had been broken as well as the 3 mounting bolts to the Secondary Air Injection unit had all 3 been snapped apart. I patched up things the best I could until I got back to town to see the shop that told me they would take care of the broken items when I called them on the phone while I was out of town. I went to the shop on my return to town and the owner acknoweledged that it appeared to have been broken during the installation of the plugs and wires and even told me that a mechanic in his shop had recently been fired for shotty work. He even said that if he questioned the fired mechanic about the repair he probably would deny it since he had already fired him anyway. He agree to fix amd replace the dip stick housing and was tryin to fix the 3 mounting screws for the secondary air injection with some type of tape that didnt look like it was going to work. I asked him to repair it properly and he started ranting about I probably broke it myself. I think he thought that the entire unit has to be replaced and would cost about $600. I was in shock initially that he now tryed to back out of fixing it even knowing it was possible the guy he had fired broke it and didnt say anything to the office manager when they brought the car out to give to me. We then discussed farther about who would pay and he was not trying to fix it at that point. He rudely asked me to leave his premises and never come back after he overheard me speaking with my daughter on the phone about what the remedy might have to be (small claims litigation). I immediately left his property and called the police to discuss what my options were. in the meantime I'm parked in the lot in the Greenwood center next to his place and he waved me to come back in to discuss some more after he thought about it. He asked me what it would take to make me happy and once again and I told him to fix what they broke and not with some flimsy tape that would evidently fall off. He got irate again with me and started tellin me that he was 100% sure that those items were broken when I brought it in. I told him I had witnesses that those items were not broken because I had looked at what it would take to fix it before I took it to his shop and nothing was broken. About that time the police lady drove up and he got very very hostile again and ordered me out of his shop and to never come back. I have no intention of going back anyway , all I wanted was for him to man up and fix what his fired technician had broken. I am left now to fix the items they broke. THe Oil dip stick casing cost $11 from [redacted] and I am trying to find the 3 mounting bolts for the ** dealership in Durham. THey cost $20each X 3= $65 dollars total if what ** say is true. He went through all that embarrasing ranting and raving and calling me a liar in front of customers that apperared shocked by his attitude. Something is wrong with that guy over there and he seemed like he was an evil businessman that came to work with some problems to start with. Also,I witnessed him calling a customer on the phone a "Jerk" but he momentarily realized that the phone was not hung up. I knew I had problems when I heard him do that . Desired SettlementI would like to provide him with a tally of the items that I will have to replace and hopefully he will decide to reimburse for the parts. I dont want his shop to install or do anything else in the furture. He has asked that I not step foot on his property, so if something can be worked out through some other means I would be satisfied. It should be around a total of 70 for the parts and I wiull be resonsible for installing them if need be.Business Response Mr. [redacted], How many times have you given a review when it contained compliments on how well a person performed. I suspect rarely if ever. Your actions and conduct prevented any associate for helping you in any way. I am very familiar with the problems with your car. I encourage you to look in the mirror. If we genuinely failed to perform up to par, we would accept it. Every employee here is held to the highest standard, and many former employees were terminated simply because they did not genuinely care about every customer. Your acusations could cost someone their job. For what--- to fix something that a friend or you damaged. We would gladly help if you simply said you were trying to save money and did work yourself. If you had simply said you needed help fixing something that you or someone else damaged. Had you been honest, its likely we would have helped you for free. We donate our time frequently to help people---thats what we do. I hope you find this Christmas the best ever. And if you still want us to help you, we will, just be honest like we are. Thank You Your Friends at Autosmart

I experienced very poor customer service on 12/15/2014. My car has been recently repaired in the shop and apparently been damaged with other part. When I returned to the shop I asked them to fix it, but they said would charge me again. But the issue was with the owner of the shop, who started accusing me, verbally assaulted telling me "I'll physically throw you out" and demanded to leave me from the shop, saying that's his property. I called the police to get the details of the shop and left immediately. I'm looking the justice, and would like to make a complaint with the way how I've been treated in the shop.Desired SettlementBeen paid for damaged part, which I'm going to fix it in different car service.Business Response We tightened customers drive belt. 2 months later he returned with a leaking water pump and told us it was our fault his water pump is leaking. As upsurd as it sounded. I listened to plea case. I advised him that it was against the laws of physics. I also offered to repair the vehicle at a discounted rate.He began to argue. I asked him to leave and he called the police. I told him if he continued to disrupt my business I would physically remove him from the property. I told him he had to leave and he advised me that the police would straighten me out. The police advised him that he was moments away from being arrested. He left. I called him and offered a discount on repairing the vehicle provided he did not disrupt my business again.Again, I dont give in to customers who think they can cheat merchants into getting something for free.We treat every customer with honesty and respect. We expect the same from out customers. This matter is closed
