Good Morning,I received a letter from you regarding a complaint from *** ***.Here is my response to that complaint.We received a call from the *** police deptat 11pm on 3-14-of a car off the road on *** *** rd in ***. When we arrived there was a *** *** off the
road out in a field that had a downhill grade to itThe car was also on a culvert that crossed the roadTake in mind that we had 2-ft of snow at this time and the snow banks are higher on the side of the road from the plows.(pics to show where the car was). When my driver got to the car the front lower splash shield was already hanging down from the impact of the snow, He then hooked the winch from the tow truck to it in the correct location from the rear(remember again 2-ft of snow that the car is sitting in)Walked up to the truck and pulled the car back onto the road where it could safely be driven awayThis was all done while a police officer is thereWe tow for all of the local and state of Vermont police stations and have no complaintsThey will ask for my company because of our timeliness and professionalism. When a car goes off the road the damage is already done and we do our best to minimize anymore damage that it takes to get the car back to safety so that traffic can return to normal. I sympathize with the woman and understand her frustration but on the other hand I did not drive the car off the roadIt is my job to get the vehicle back on the road where it can be towed or driven away and to do it in a safe manner for everyoneShe is very lucky that that is all that happened from going off the road Here are some pictures to show the culvert and the incline where the customer went off the road(remember 2-ft of snow when this happened.-- THANK YOU,*** ***AUTOSMITH15 NORTH MAIN STJERICHO, VT 05465***
