As Autotopia is well aware, and as detailed in my complaint, Autotopia agreed they would cover the repair as the issue was not mentioned at purchase - hence why they tried to send some cheap Craigslist "mechanic" to fix it at their cost. I see they also conveniently neglected to mention the issue of the stereo speakers cutting out. I will be telling the story of my terrible experience to anyone who will listen and will be sure to prevent anyone I can from ever giving Autotopia any money.

This 2003 Nissan was sold "as is" and the customer declined to purchase an extended service contract. We realize this purchase is still covered by the Arizona implied warranty of merchantability, AZ statute 44-1267. Unfortunately the issue the customer is having with the power window...

motor is not considered a "major component" that limits the vehicles ability to be driven safely.?

Review: I purchased a car from ** at Autotopia on September 18, 2015 and within 3 days the driver's side window stopped working and the stereo speakers were cutting out. I called ** / Autotopia literally 5 days in a row Monday-Friday Sep 21-25 and each time they would give me the run around saying they needed to talk to "their guy" and they'd call me back. They then do not return my call - They still have not actually called me once (I have to initiate contact every time). ** then finally just sent a text message with a random phone number and no name telling me to call that number to get it fixed. I called the number and it's some guy's personal cell phone - some random Craigslist "mechanic". The guy very clearly had little idea what he was doing or talking about - unsure of what part was needed, unsure of the make and model of the car - and told me the only warranty would be "uhhh... like a month." (direct quote) Are you serious? Autotopia tells me they "use this guy all the time" so take that for what it's worth. I did not want to trust the car I had just purchased with this random person from Craigslist - again, not a business, not a professional - but Autotopia told me this was the only way they would cover the repair. They said I would have to pay for it myself if I wanted to take it to an actual professional. Fine. The guy tells me he'll show up at 3pm (even though I specifically told them that around 11am-1pm worked best for me). Again, fine, I'm pretty fed up at this point and just want it done. 3pm rolls around, guy doesn't show up or contact me. 3:30, 4:00, 4:30 - no show, no call. At 4:45 I left because, believe it or not, I don't have 3 hours to spend sitting around waiting for a guy that may or may not show up and may or may not be able to fix the problem. He finally called me at 5pm telling me he was there - no apology, no explanation - I told him he was welcome to try again and be on time the next day - he then told me he wouldn't do that and I'd have to take the car in to Autotopia. I have since texted ** (since he doesn't return phone calls) and called Mike at Autotopia and have not received a response from either of them. I called twice again today, was told Mike would be in and call me "in about 10 minutes" - that was 3 hours ago. I have not received anything even remotely resembling an apology for the experience I'm having from Autotopia and the issue is still not resolved. I'm guessing small claims court should have no problem resolving this for them since they don't want to do it themselves.Desired Settlement: Autotopia can either directly reimburse me $300 in cash to cover the repairs or I will take this to small claims court.
