Review: I dropped my car off with troy costa of auto works in loomis 2-20-2013. 17 months ago. he has not finished building my car. I have paid him over 50,000$. he tells me that he is ordering my parts and this is what they cost, shows me an invoice takes my check, but he never actually orders the parts. when I question him about the paid for up front parts, he tells me lies and makes up elaborate stories about things happening to the parts. it took 10 months to get the suspension for my car, 6 months for the transmission kit. I ordered a flex-a-kite radiator kit jan 13, 2014. it is july 1 2014 and my radiator still has not showed up. he bought an inferior radiator and bolted it in my car, probably hoping I would not notice. when I questioned him about the paperwork for it, he said his wife had it at his book keepers or something. then the next day he told me they sent him the wrong radiator. that was over 1 month ago. my flex a lite radiator still hasn't showed up.Desired Settlement: I want all paperwork, warranties and shipping invoices, for the parts installed on my car. I want my car to be painted, it is only half painted at the moment. I would also like a full accounting of the hours spent on my car, documented hours not his word for it. he is a very proficient liar. I want to see documented hours.I would also like to see paperwork for all parts paid for by me and invoices for the parts received.

AutoWorks of Gold River is now located at 420 Berry st Roseville, ca. Troy C[redacted] operates a fraudulent business, he takes money from his customers for car/Hot Rod restorations and does not do the work. He spends your money, but does not do any work that was agreed upon. Your car will sit in his shop for yrs, You can complain to him, but he just smiles and says he will get started on it soon! He has been to court many times and lost judgements but never pays the money back. He owes me 6,000.00. I have a court date in July. I'm working with the City of Roseville to get him kicked out of town!!!The Franchise tax board has suspended his license. He now has the Line X Franchise at the same location. Stay away from Troy C[redacted]!!!!!

Review: We Selected Autoworks, Inc. the Owner - [redacted] on 12/7/13 to complete our Classic 1934 3 Window Coupe valued at $75,000.00. [redacted] personally picked up our Coupe and took it to his shop at 420 Berry Ave Roseville Ca. He committed to have our Coupe complete with a running chassis by March 2014 (90 days from 12/7/13) with a large down payment of $5,100 cash up front. Because our Coupe is registered in this year 2014 Hot August Nights (HAN #3634) event, we must have it ready. He has fallen behind on his commitment to complete our Coupe and neglects to pay the sub contractors for work, also [redacted] refuses to provide labor records or receipts for parts to show us where our $5,100 dollars went to. I hear all around town that he has done this to many clients, customers and businesses. This is unacceptable,[redacted] should be arrested for embezzling money from consumers.Desired Settlement: Refund of the entire $5,100 cash that was provided to him upfront. Also, to have his business shut down.

Review: On September 30, 2013, my father took his 1972 Ford Mustang to Autoworks of Gold River for body repair and primer. My father made a down payment of $3,275.00 and was told the car would be ready in the middle of December 2013. The car was not ready in December as promised. My father was repeatedly told by the business owner, [redacted] that he needed an additional two weeks to finish the car. It is now June of 2015 and Mr. [redacted] has failed to make the agreed upon repairs. To date, Mr. [redacted] has received $8,950.00 from my father and has continued to provide flimsy excuses as to why the car has not been completed. I took over the attempted resolution of this matter in February 2015. I have filed a complaint with [redacted] and per their request sent a registered letter to Mr. [redacted] demanding that the car be completed and or returned to my father along with a complete refund and Mr. [redacted] has failed to resolve the matter. He has been giving me the same time frame of an additional two weeks since he received my letter and has recently stopped returning my calls. I contacted the City of Roseville to obtain Mr. [redacted]'s business license number and was given two different numbers both of which are expired. The representative I spoke with also indicated that Mr. [redacted] has changed the name of the business to Auto Center of Roseville. The business license numbers provided were [redacted] and [redacted]. I have done research on Mr. [redacted] and have learned that there are 3 Revdex.com complaints and several legal judgments against the business indicating that once judgment was made, Mr. [redacted] moved the business location and changed the name. I require assistance in getting my father's car back either completely repaired or returned as is and with a complete refund of the $8950.00 already pad to Mr. [redacted]. I would also like to see him permanently put out of business since he is obviously a crook and a scofflaw operating a business without a proper business license.Desired Settlement: I want my father's car delivered with the agreed upon repairs at no further cost or I want the car returned as is (at the business owner's expense and a complete refund of the $8950.00 already paid. I would also like to see Mr. [redacted] permanently put out of business so that he can not rip off anyone else.
