Predatory sales tactics
Travis Duty, financial pedophile, used these exact words: “We won’t give you full retail price on your vehicle but we will come close!”
“We will give more than you might be expecting.”

Instead of “coming close” to a decent price, $9,500 was their idea of “close”. After driving 3 hours to sell our dead Dads truck to the dealership, this predatory sales staff attempts the cliche greasy car salesmen slap in the face lowball offer.
Predatory sales tactics

This issue has been resolved

I bought a new truck, they talked me into itI told my salesman *** *** I'd buy it provided they put in a in-dash navigation system in to the truckMr*** checked and said that they could have it installed in just a couple of daysThat sealed the deal for meAfter I'd bought the truck and was waiting to have the necessary cable installed, they said they didn't make it yet, that it'd be a monthI told them I'd like to wait for itWell, that never happened, they don't know when the manufacturer going to make itIt's been over monthsI went back in and they were going to trade me into a different truck but they were going to charge me $4000+ and it's not as expensive or nice as my truck

There is no "bumper to bumper" extended service policy offered on a pre-owner vehicleThe customer did purchase an extended service policy and I have included a copy of that policy and what that policy coversWhen the customer brought his truck in we diagnosed it and called *** to see if it
would be covered, *** informed us that this particular item is not covered under the service policy that the customer purchasedThe dealership does not determine what is and isn't covered under the policy, that is determined by ***I have included a copy of the service policy and you can see on page that it clearly states what will be coveredWe as a dealership have every customer sign a "we owe" that clearly states what the dealership owes the customer and what the customer owes the dealershipI have included a copy of this WE OWE and as you can see it clearly states that the only things promised was a Missouri state inspection and a referral fee to *** ***There is even a place marked with N/A that states no verbal promises have been madeThe customer signed off on thisIf there were any promises made then they would have been listed here and would have been performed by our dealershipI cannot understand why the customer would sign this saying nothing is owed to him if he was promised something If there is anything else you need from me please just contact me and I will be happy to give you anything you needThank you

I bought a used truck from Autry MorlanUpon inspection I noticed that the tailgate had a huge dent and a bright headlight did not workI stated I wanted both fixedThe dealer stated that both issues would be resolvedThey said they would fix the tailgate and said the headlight would be a warranty claim since the truck was under 36,milesI asked for both to be repaired by the dealer or at the dealer's expenseThis was in writing that I signed but did not receive a copyThe dealer set up repair services for me at morlan dodge for the headlight and a local body shop for the tailgateThe truck was fixed at morlan dodge for the headlight but was not covered under warranty because the previous owner installed after market headlights that changed the factory wiringThe dealer asked me to pay for some of thisThe truck scheduled by the dealer to be seen at a local body shopThe shop stated the tailgate would have to be replacedI have never been informed of a repair dateThe

I bought my tuck months agoWhen I purchased my truck I was told that I could get an extended warranty (bumper to bumper)At the time *** *** was my car sales man and *** *** was the finance manager (both fired)When *** was still employed I was having problems with my tire pressure sensor, back window, and my back passenger tail light cracked and taking on moisture*** told me he would order the parts and he would fix it so when the parts came in the first time I was contacted*** fixed my back window but told me that the tail light came in tinted so when that came in he would fix my tire pressure sensorParts came in and I was never contacted so I call and they say that they sent them backAt this time *** was fired now they will not fix the parts I was promised because it's his word against mine?? To me if one of your employees promise a coustomer something they you wouldn't backtrack! Now check engine light is on and my oil pressure is saying low stop eng

My finance manager is in process of getting the lost titleIt was a Virginia title and he has had some difficultyI have no
idea how or when it was lost, but I do know that he has been working on it even as I am typing nowHe has spoken with the license bureau and they have been working with him to help get this resolvedHe has made arrangements with them to get any penalty waived so there will be no additional cost to the customerThis is a very unfortunate event and something that has not happened to me in the fifteen years I have been in the car businessWe pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and have been doing everything humanly possible to fix this situation and make our customer happyAs for the recall on the transmission, we are a Chevrolet dealer and have not got the equipment to perform Ford recallsChevrolet does not charge to perform a recall I am unsure if Ford charges for performing recallsI have no clue as to why the Ford dealer will not perform a recall for this customerThis is the first I have heard of Ford not wanting to fix the vehicle for the customerI would be more than happy to perform any recall I am able to at my dealership for this customer, it just makes it impossible since I do not have access to the information to complete the recallI want to do what I can to make this customer happyPlease let me know if there is anything else you may needThank You

My husband and I are senior citizens, and we experienced intense high-pressure tactics at the dealership, and there was not enough information given to us at the time We were not able to review the contract until AFTER we were already in the room with the financial manager The salesman never let us see the contract We did not even go to Autry Morlan to buy a vehicle We went there because an item we received in the mail said we had a matching number and a key, saying we had won something so we went to check on what prize we had won We walked in the door and were told immediately of their liquidation sale, and we said that we were there to match numbers on the piece of mail we were sent to see if we had won a prize They talked and talked at us for half a day, and wouldn't even provide so much as a cold drink of water without my basically begging for it after such a long time had passed We were under duress without so much as even something to drink for the longest of time

We had allowed $300 to fix a scratch in the tailgate of this truck. The customer had an issue with the aftermarket headlights in his truck after the sale. The customer agreed that if we would fix the aftermarket headlights that we no longer had to fix the tailgate. We had the work performed and paid...

the bill. We have heard nothing else from the customer until this complaint. We have fulfilled our end of what was agreed upon with us and the customer. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me, [redacted], at [redacted] or [redacted]@yahoo.com.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I brought attention to the headlight before the sale was finalized, I even refused to sign the paperwork until it was addressed. I never agreed that if the headlight was fixed then I would not want the tailgate to be fixed. The tailgate has more than a scratch on it, it is dented beyond repair. I know this because the body shop that Morlan set an appointment up for me to have it looked at stated this. Finally I have tried contacting Autry Morlan Inc several times, only to be told that everyone was busy. I left my name and number and no one ever called me back. One time I was able to speak to a manager and he said he would look into it and call me back, I never received that call back. I am only asking for what Autry Morlan's salesman promised me when I purchased the truck.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

This vehicle was purchased from our Dexter location in November of 2014. On 11/11/14 the customer brought the vehicle into our...

service department and stated that the SES and Traction lights were intermittent on and off. After a thorough diagnostic test our service department determined that the engine needed to be replaced ($6364.11 parts and labor). We provided the customer with a courtesy vehicle for the time it took for the vehicle to be repaired. The customer picked the vehicle up and everything seemed to be fine until the customer brought the vehicle back into our service department on 12/24/2014. Customer stated that the blower motor for the air was only operating intermittently. After diagnosis our service department replaced the HVAC Control Module and Resistor ($200 P&L). Customer picked the vehicle back up and nothing was said about any recurring problems. Then again in February (2/23/15) the customer returned to our service drive and stated that there was oil under the engine and made a loud noise and quit. After yet another diagnosis we determined that the camshaft drive and sprocket needed to be replaced ($646.29 P&L). After everything was said and done there were $7,210.40 in repairs performed on this vehicle which the customer paid $0 of the total. The customer was also provided courtesy vehicles each and every time the vehicle was in our service department. At one point one of our courtesy vehicles that was in the customer's possession was involved in an accident involving another motor vehicle at the fault of the customer. We here at Autry Morlan Chevrolet feel that we have gone too great lengths to ensure that the vehicle was fixed properly, each and every time it was brought in with a complaint. After everything that has happened we feel that the "HVAC problems" that are now an issue after all this time, should now be the customers responsibility, especially after 10 months of ownership and a new engine, HVAC controls, and camshaft/sprocket were replaced at no charge to the customer.
