I have had three different AC company's do one thing or another in this year, but when my home unit compressor gave out I contacted Autumn Air They came out to my home and presented themselves professionally and they "seemed to know what they were doing" Because of the age of the unit I decided to just put in a whole new systemIt was early August and I was leaving town the next day; the unit was installed that day and the when I left, I turned the unit up to degreesI was gone for almost a month When I returned after setting the unit where I normally like it, ran and ran, so I called Autumn AirThey came out that same day, hooked up their gauges to the components did their tests and said nothing was wrong, they blamed me for setting at a very low temperature degrees, I disagreed but raised the temperature to degrees it continued to do the same Again I contacted Autumn Air and again they came out did their tests again and same thing I had it too low, (this is a brand new seer ton system on a 1800+ square foot home)My electric bill increased 60% since the new unit was installed, so I contacted LCEC They came out saw the problem but was unable to assist because it is a consumer/ contractor issue as they stated The problem continues, this time when they came out and re-hooked their gauges they noticed a problem within the coil system in the unit, (I do not think there was an issue with the coils I will say a bit latter) so they changed out the coils re-directed the air flow vents with in the house and were hopeful this would at last fix the problem Fast forward now, because they came out to the house a total of Not less than TEN TIMES before I insisted that the RUDD manufacturing representative come and assess the system, (I had already had an engineer do this at my expense) The findings were nothing more than shocking almost the exact findings from the engineer I had to the house, and that is the duct work was wrong needed more air handlers etcWhat is shocking about all this is, these so called professional's did not even know this and this is what they make a living at Here's the kicker, what all consumers need to be aware of? "The Warranty" I paid this guy $and they did not know what they were doing, but because of the Laws that "protect shady contractors" and not the consumer I am forced to allow them to fix the problem even though they obviously did not know what they were doing A note to Will the manager of the business, when you are not able to return a call for whatever the reason, please don't say "sorry for not getting back to you sooner I was in church all day" I would prefer you said nothing then to pretend to be a Christian, then to be conned in the way your company has conned me Autumn Air has gained great knowledge through this ordeal both financially and teaching them something they have been pretending to know, at expense of their customers I too have learned once again not to trust anyone, maybe one of these times I will do what I what I write in my reviews Final note, when hiring any contractor especially AC ask questions, if they have knowledge of building homesIf their answers don't make sense then there is probably a good reason for that, and that could be they are clueless too (It's now the middle of November, and now that the weather is cooling we now know how to fix my problem) Note: Ben is no longer with this company

I have had three different AC company's do one thing or another in this year, but when my home unit compressor gave out I contacted Autumn Air. They came out to my home and presented themselves professionally and they "seemed to know what they were doing". Because of the age of the unit I decided to just put in a whole new system. It was early August and I was leaving town the next day; the unit was installed that day and the when I left, I turned the unit up to 83 degrees. I was gone for almost a month. When I returned after setting the unit where I normally like it, ran and ran, so I called Autumn Air. They came out that same day, hooked up their gauges to the components did their tests and said nothing was wrong, they blamed me for setting at a very low temperature 72 degrees, I disagreed but raised the temperature to 74 degrees it continued to do the same. Again I contacted Autumn Air and again they came out did their tests again and same thing I had it too low, (this is a brand new 14 seer 3.5 ton system on a 1800+ square foot home). My electric bill increased 60% since the new unit was installed, so I contacted LCEC. They came out saw the problem but was unable to assist because it is a consumer/ contractor issue as they stated.
The problem continues, this time when they came out and re-hooked their gauges they noticed a problem within the coil system in the unit, (I do not think there was an issue with the coils I will say a bit latter) so they changed out the coils re-directed the air flow vents with in the house and were hopeful this would at last fix the problem. Fast forward now, because they came out to the house a total of Not less than TEN TIMES before I insisted that the RUDD manufacturing representative come and assess the system, (I had already had an engineer do this at my expense). The findings were nothing more than shocking almost the exact findings from the engineer I had to the house, and that is the duct work was wrong needed more air handlers etc. What is shocking about all this is, these so called professional's did not even know this and this is what they make a living at.
Here's the kicker, what all consumers need to be aware of? "The Warranty" I paid this guy $5300.00 and they did not know what they were doing, but because of the Laws that "protect shady contractors" and not the consumer I am forced to allow them to fix the problem even though they obviously did not know what they were doing. A note to Will the manager of the business, when you are not able to return a call for whatever the reason, please don't say "sorry for not getting back to you sooner I was in church all day" I would prefer you said nothing then to pretend to be a Christian, then to be conned in the way your company has conned me.
Autumn Air has gained great knowledge through this ordeal both financially and teaching them something they have been pretending to know, at expense of their customers. I too have learned once again not to trust anyone, maybe one of these times I will do what I what I write in my reviews.
Final note, when hiring any contractor especially AC ask questions, if they have knowledge of building homes... If their answers don't make sense then there is probably a good reason for that, and that could be they are clueless too.
(It's now the middle of November, and now that the weather is cooling we now know how to fix my problem)
Note: Ben is no longer with this company.
