Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/04/25) */ To Whom this may Concern: Yes we contracted to build Ms [redacted] homeThe amount we contracted for was $282,which included her allowances In this process Ms [redacted] was on the job almost everyday and a part of the processStart to the finishWe up graded her windows at her request and updated her doors to a beautiful knotty pine so it would look more like a county style homeWe have built over a hundred homes in the [redacted] and [redacted] County areaWe never have had a complaint up to nowI'm not sure why she is saying what she is saying because her home turned out beautifullyIf you would do a drive by you would never think this is a $300,dollar home more like a half a million dollar homeThis home was inspected by Douglas County and Douglas County has one of the strongest requirements for home buildersWe pasted all inspections on this home and received the CO for her to close on the homeAs for her decks on the back of the home, her fist deck is over 18' off the groundIt does not need or require to have weather treated wood on the joists and we put wrapped Trex decking on all the decks and ironWe did not contract to build stairs off the deck but we did them for her so her dogs had a way downThis we did for freeWe also did extra shelving in the family room and on her island at no costAll her decking past inspections so I'm not sure what she is talking aboutThe front deck also past inspection and I do not know what she is thinking when she says it doesn't past code because it did and we never planed on replacing the front deck We did give her the plumbers number so she could call him on her tubHe was the sub and he should stand behind his products that he puts in the homeWe do not know if she tried to contract him or notBut we did tell her that we would come back and try to get a part for the tub if he had not taken care of itThe same as for the electrical which is a few turned around receptacle'sBefore we left the house we asked her to put tape on the ones that where turned and she did notSo we never did themShe has not connected us for monthsWhen she did e-mail us I did say we would return but I could not give her an exact date because I'm finishing a home that the move in date is widaysI'm sure when her house was being built she would not have wanted us to just stop everything and leave to do something elseWe do not do business that wayOne of the reasons we where not back was because she added a lot of other items on the list that she wanted for nothingWe billed her for putting in her appliancesThat was not our jobI guess she thought that would be free alsoWe were not paid and we explained to her some of the things she wanted would be time and materials if she wanted them doneThen she did not respond to usShe also had my son attach her blinds and seed her back yard for nothingShe also did not pay for her granite in her baths rooms and for the island The fabricator redid here island at their expense and she did not ever pay themWe know this because they called us about the problemWe are very unhappy with this complaint because we know how we have bent over back wards to give her a beautiful home and we did give her many things which we did not get paid for We can say after what she has stated that we will not go back to her home and she can hirer who never she feels she can trust at her expense Autumn & Associates has always taken pride in what we build The final point is that it past all the inspections and she did get her CO to move in and she did move in Thanks for giving us a chance to reply Sincerely [redacted]
