Review: When I needed a locksmith on Feb. ** 2015 at my apartment in [redacted] area in NYC, I called a phone number from local yellow page. They sent me a young [redacted](He answered me he is from [redacted] when I asked) man. His cell phone number was ###-###-####. When he arrived at my apartment, he gave me a price total of $480 (open door lock x2 $370, change lock x1 $110) . I was shocked but it was my first time to call a locksmith and I was kind of in a panic. Also I have no idea what is a reasonable price for opening a door. I needed the door opened as soon as possible. Then I asked him to continue. He actually broke those two lock and a lock cover using a drill and circular saw. Then he finished his job. He said if I pay cash he will give me a discount $30. So we went to a bank. Then he said he need to correct service call fee and labor and tax, total $560. I had no choice. I paid. Then I needed to buy a lock cover and one lock by myself to replace them.Next day, I was told I was ripped off by my friend. I searched online and found [redacted] locksmith scam.Now I believe I am a victim of those [redacted] Locksmith ring scam.Desired Settlement: I would like to get refunded (less reasonable price is acceptable).
