Review: This company failed to deliver our vehicle within the time frame specified in our contract. We requested a refund of our deposit and they refused. This company is a scam.Desired Settlement: Refund

Business

Response:

there is no timeframe for delivery specified in the contract. we are only a broker and do not drive or own the trucks, so how could we specify.

this is a story made up by the customer to try and get there money back.

[Your Answer Here]

There is very clearly a time frame specified within the contract. It is the same time frame referenced in correspondence between this business and my husband on several different occasions. Why do you feel entitled to keep our deposit when you not only failed to deliver our car within the time frame specified, but you completely failed to deliver our car at all!?!

Review: An email was sent with a quote for shipping a vehicle. After discussing with salesperson the nature of the quote I was assured it would be for the price. I have paid the downpayment fee and the assured pickup would be in two days. Each time I call, it is two days. It has now been a week. The customer service rep is absolutely the rudest person ever. I then find out that they did place my vehicle for bid but because of the lower price no one will touch it. Which will lead me to cancel the service, they keep my fee and still get paid. there is no communication as to the process. After much time searching many other customers have had the same experience.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund.

Sincerely,

Review: This is my 5th time shipping a vehicle by auto transport and it has been a terrible experience.

I sought to ship my vehicle from New York, NY to Seattle, WA and needed it picked up quickly as I was going to be leaving town. This company provided a reasonable bid ($1315) to ship it. Other companies bid $950 but could not pick up the vehicle in the desired time frame without an additional rush fee of $350. The price being roughly the same, I chose this company dba Quick Time Movers as their sales rep [redacted] was helpful and assured me verbally and in writing that my vehicle would be picked up in time.

The first sign of trouble was when I had to call the company repeatedly to solidify a pick up time as the [redacted] "**" claimed to know nothing about the promised pickup time. After several calls I finally got them to pick the vehicle up. On Wednesday, August [redacted], 2013 ** had a "Big Tows" tow truck pick the vehicle up from midtown Manhattan and tow it to Chestnut Ridge, NY so that it could be picked up by a larger auto transport to Seattle. I called on Monday August [redacted] to ensure that it was on its way to Seattle and ** told me it would be picked up Thursday, August [redacted]. I was concerned to hear that it had not actually shipped. I called the company on August [redacted] and ** said he would call me back. He did not. I called on the [redacted] and ** said he would call me back. He did not. I called on Monday the [redacted] and they said they would call me back. They did not. I called on Tuesday the [redacted] and spoke with a [redacted] representative who said that my case had been a long time and that she would get back to me the same day. No one called me back. I called today, August [redacted], and they said that the vehicle was scheduled to be picked up on Wednesday the [redacted] of August. I told them that that date was unacceptable as the car should have arrived in Seattle by then and that they needed to schedule it sooner.

They have yet to provide me with any hard evidence that it is going to go anywhere. I believe I am being set up for some kind of scam. Al told me that I should go pick the car up (in rural New York) if I want it back and but they will keep the fees. If I go pick it up, I will probably discover some outrageous towing yard daily "storage fees" that I will have to pay or abandon the vehicle. Or maybe they are in the process of dismantling it for parts. There is no reason for them to be holding my vehicle this long. I never agreed that they could wait 3 weeks before actually shipping my vehicle. Also, I should not have to wait another week to learn that the vehicle will ship yet another week later.Desired Settlement: I want my vehicle shipped in the next 3 days. They have had it in their possession for 2 weeks already.

Review: I wanted to ship my car from Ames, IA to Austin, TX and got a quote of $450 from "Quick Time Movers", later that day I got a call from "[redacted]" saying that the quote was for $450, and I needed to pay $175 as a deposit and the remaining $275 on delivery, this was a great price and I asked her several times to make sure it is right and I was assured that I will pay only $275 and they will "take good care of me".I had originally scheduled the car to be picked up on Aug 18th or later and I got a call from the driver on Aug ** (Friday) saying that he was there to pick up my car, I was very confused upon his call and said him that I can't give my car until Sunday as I needed it for several things before I load it up, driver said me to talk to dispatch, the guy named "[redacted]". ** was very rude and was yelling at me throughout the whole conversation. I should have definitely cacelled my order after that call but I didn't as there was a good amount of money as fine involved and they could charge me for driver's time as he attempted to pick up the car at the wrong time.Car was finally delivered on Aug 25, yes a week later and I was shown an amount of $600 COD that I must pay. I was shocked and driver said me to call the dispatch again, again "[redacted]" yelled at me, my room-mates could hear him. He said "you have to pay $600 or forget about your car", driver was a better person but he wanted his $600. Once I said I wanted few more minutes to figure this out he said he would load my car again if I don't give him $600 right away. I didn't have cash and had to go to an ATM to get him the money, half cash half check (as I reached my daily limit and driver said he trusted me). I really want help on this, please as I ended up in paying $775 instead of $450, how come is this fair?? Now when I think about this, I should have called police when driver was asking me more money but I was scared of my car keys being with the driver. Thanks Revdex.com!!I have all the receipts.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate if I get the extra money ($775-$450) back, I am a graduate student with very limited resources and I can't afford to loose money like this.

Business

Response:

unfortunately the customer was told that the fee would be more and that he could elect to wait for another which might charge a cheaper price, he agreed to have this truck pick it up and that he would pay the 600.00 to the trucker as requested by him. Again the 175.00 was the broker fee and he signed the docusign contract knowing that the fee is in addition to the carrier fee. At least we do not do like other brokers, arrive at the customer house and demand all kinds of money. this customer was fully aware of the charges and of course complains after the car has been delivered. We instruct the customers to read the contract and if they do not agree with it to get a different broker and we would refund there 175.00

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I don't understand who is making up/coming up with this story. This is highly unprofessional and it is a lie, I was not told AT ALL that the shipping would cost $600 and I would never have told yes to this as I am struggling with limited finances. When my friend handed over the key to the driver in Ames, IA there was no mention of $600 at all, I HAVE THE PROOF. Besides I was told by [redacted] that I would be paying $275 ($450-$175) for which I don't have a proof, this sounded a great deal. Why would they give me an estimate of $450 and then charge me $775???? This is ridiculous and I as an individual will do anything to protest against businessman like this.

I have tried to contact [redacted] every working day for the last two weeks, I have wasted a huge deal of time and money on calls as after making me wait for two weeks, he said he can't do anything for me at all. [redacted]'s attitude is not only professional but it is threatening as well. I have felt extremely offended by his ways of talking and am even more determined now to take this case as far as I have to. I also want to complain against [redacted].

They say that they don't demand customers all sorts of money, why was I threatened that I would have to forget my car by [redacted] (by now I can recognize his voice but have no documented proof) if I don't pay them additional $600 when the trucker arrived to deliver my car. I had to pay them $600 or I worried whether I was going to see my car or not. I should have filed police complaint right then on account of threatening.

I have not expected individuals doing business in USA like this, to me this is not less than robbery and their license shouldn't be valid. I am a graduate student with limited finances and this whole transaction is not only about me but other individuals who ARE/WILL potentially suffering/suffer at the hands of this car moving company and broker agency .

Many many thanks to Revdex.com for at least giving me a platform to report such dishonest individuals.

Response:

this is definitely not a lie, everything was done according to the signed docusign contract.

Review: We thought we were going through a company called Crestline Auto Transport to have our vehicle moved from Pennsylvania to Kansas. The price on the contract was $565. When the car arrived the transport driver told us we owed $900. Come to find out Available Logistics and [redacted], aka [redacted], aka...... was using the company name Crestline Auto Transport and all of their great reviews to scam us. We had no other option but to give the driver the money or else our car was going to go back to New Jersey.Desired Settlement: $530 the difference in the amount they charged and what we were suppose to owe.

Business

Response:

the only accurate statement was the amount of money that the customer had to pay due to the terms and conditions of the contract as per paragraph#10 and 14 and nothing more.everything else is bogus and not true.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

How are you using the name Crestline auto carrier when that is not the name of your business (on our original contract) and using their motor carrier number. It's very fraudulent because you were going by that name and when you look them up they have great reviews. If I would have known it was a different company I could have looked up and seen the obscene amount of horrible reviews for your company.

Sincerely,

Review: I paid a deposit and signed a contract for my vehicle to be picked up in Destin, FL and transported to Clovis, NM on Sept [redacted]. The company passed me off to a driver that changed the date of pick up multiple times, and ultimately came to my condo and refused to transport the vehicle, citing he hadn't planned on a vehicle that heavy, despite the contract which specified exactly what the vehicle was, a 2010 Nissan XTerra. The driver left and never contacted the company. I moved the following day, with the promise from the company that they would send another driver and call me to verify.

I have called between 15-20 times, usually speaking with staff, who always take down my problem and phone number but never fix the problem or call me back, including "**", a [redacted] at QuickTime Movers.

I am active duty and have arrived at my duty station, unable to do my job without using my wife's car, which she needs for her job. The company took my money yet has done nothing to fulfill the contract I signed, present me with any plan on how to deliver my vehicle, or even call me back.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to either expedite and prioritize my move immediately, or refund my deposit.

Business

Response:

This customer is forgetting to read the docusign contract that he signed, he signed for Economy Service which is anywhere from 7-17 days pickup from the original pickup date [9/**]. We had one truck and he wanted a little more money than quoted, so we let him go and are in the process of looking for another carrier.

All this was told to the customer, and he never called here 15-20 times, a pure fabrication.

He should be fully aware of our terms and conditions in the contract, since he signed it and sent it back.

Review: I advertised for bids for my car to be picked up in Hampton, Virginia (where my daughter is) and transported to Katy, TX. I recieved an email bid for 700.00 with Quicktime Movers. I spoke with several people before I was contacted by [redacted] at Quicktime Movers. I was even contacted by [redacted] who stated he was from Quicktime movers also, but later stated that I shouldnt listen to [redacted], well [redacted] still had the lowest bid of 700.00. I had email and phone correspondence with [redacted] and did a deposit of 175.00 which I clarified with [redacted] was the same in their contract listed as a broker fee. I stated I needed the car picked up the next day **JUN13 or latest **JUN13 and we discussed worse case scenario I would leave a key with a friend so the car could be picked up. To my surprise and delight my daughter recieved a call that evening asking could she be there for the car to be picked up she made arrangements with the driver, and he picked up the car **JUN13 2151PM or 9:51PM Eastern and we have photos as proof. Yesterday I get a email from "AvailableLogistics" requesting 800.00 which is 275.00 more than the remaining 525.00 that I was suppose to pay upon delivery of the vehicle, to be picked up **JUN13 so I thought it was another bidder, so I called and advised my vehicle has already been picked up, the guy said okay. Well today **JUN2013 is the 4th day to get status of delivery, and I call the driver [redacted] #[redacted] and his phone rings and goes to a message saying "this voicemail has not been set up". So I call the customer service number this morning **JUN13 on the contract Quicktime Movers [redacted] and a male answers the phone as AL I ask for the status of the vehicle, he said it should be delivered today, I said okay, then he says but you know you need to pay 800.00 I said "no" the agreed total was 700.00 he said "no" we sent you an email the day of pickup stating the price had changed, I stated "I never recieved an email" he said "you did, you just ignored it" I said "no, I got an email from "availablelogistics, and I called to clarify the information **JUN2013 and advised my car had already been picked up, he said nevermind then". Mr. [redacted] proceeds to insult me saying that obviously you did not read the contract, I stated I did and it say 700.00 and I confirmed with [redacted] that it was a deposit, Mr. [redacted] says to me "I dont care what [redacted] said" the contract says we should have charged you 250.00 for 1-4 day pick up, and I stated I did not ask you to pick up same day, your driver called my daughter and this email says your new amount is for a pickup on **JUN2013 the original date of pick up was **JUN13". I said good ol 'bait and switch" and he said "do you know what bait and switch is, obviously you dont because it is when the person does not know and we sent you a contract that you agreed to and therefore it is not bait and switch, I said I did not agree to 800.00 before you picked up the car", let me check with JAG to confirm, then he states "no need to argue because I will not have the driver proceed until you send the email back stating you agree to the 800.00". At that point I put him on speaker phone so that another Soldier could hear what he was saying and he repeated it over and over and I stated I never recieved an email on **JUN2013 or on any other day until **JUN2013 from a diffrent named company and he keeped saying you did, and he sent me the same email while I was on the phone with him that was the same as the previous dated email. Then threatened to keep the car until I send the email, I said I am going to send you the emails that I sent back and forth with [redacted] and he stated that did not matter, he would not let the driver proceed until I sent the email back.Desired Settlement: I want the company AvailableLogistics AKA Quicktime Movers to delivery my car for the agreed total price of 700.00 as agreed which includes the 175.00 that they already invoiced against my credit card. And I want the company to change its business practices, of taking hard earned money from people and then extorting them for more money holding the customers property.

Review: They gave me an estimate but once they had the car on the trailer they changed the term and threatened to leave my car in a parking lot 600 miles away unless I went and deposited more money into their account directly to circumvent my american express that would have protected me against their scam. Basically held my car hostage leaving me no recourse but to pay the ransomDesired Settlement: apology for their unbelievably bad customer service and to honor original contract price
