Dear *** - I emailed you directly, and tried to work out a reasonable solutionTo summarize, you purchased a fleece from TJ Maxx for $40.00, you were unhappy with the quality, and lost your original receipt so were unable to return it back to the retailer in which it was originally purchased
You asked that we exchange it for an item which normally retails for $We agreed to honor your wish, but asked you to ship it back at your own expense so we could honor the more expensive exchange, and even offered to ship the more expensive item back to you at no additional chargeYou rejected my offer, and asked that we send you a shipping label at our expense for the return shippingUnfortunately at this time, we are unable to offer any solutions above and beyond our latestPlease contact me directly, *** if you're willing to accept the generous offer which was most recently outlined, and return the item in question at your own expenseWarmest regards

Hi *** - actually, your refusal to pay return shipping would account to nickel and dimingThe item you wanted in exchange is currently out of season and on special, retail of the item you'd like to exchange for is $120, but even half off on clearance it's $more than what you spent on the original item - the Cache (which you'd like in exchange for you ***) is lined with high loft fleece, insulated with *** *** and has a water repellency to repel light precipitationThe Cache is much more expensive for us to manufactured when compared to the *** coat which you purchased for $40.00, which is made from fleeceI didn't take a defensive stanceI was very willing to give you what you asked for, even if it is an item worth times more than what you're exchangingAll I asked is for you to pay the return shippingIt's difficult to satisfy the most unreasonable of customers, and I feel that you're being extremely unreasonable, and after review of the email history, it seems to have been a trend in your dealings with our company. We do our best to satisfy our customers, but we also have a business to runIt's an interesting event, when a person purchases a base level product, complains about the quality, and demands something worth times the price to replace it while slandering a company via Revdex.comA few simple facts to note:1:) You didn't purchase the item directly from our website or company store 2:) You have the option to return it back to the retail store in which it was purchased for an exchange or refund, but no longer have the receipt3:) You reached out to us demanding an item worth times more, and also demand we pay the shipping each way I've gone much further than my written return policy allows. I agreed to send you the more expensive item in exchange for the item you're unsatisfied with, I even offered to pay to ship it to you at my own expense, all I asked in return is that you ship the item which you're not satisfied with to my attention at your own expense. If you're willing to meet me part way, my offer still standsWarmest regards

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]..
Your "generous" offer does not account for the following facts: (1) The item, which was very recently purchased, is defective and has pilled and shown wear after very minimal use. You, as well as others in your company, rather than admit the quality is bad have taken a defensive stance toward my complaint rather than accepting responsibility for a poor product. (2) It is customary for ANY company that has made a defective product to not expect the customer to return the item at their expense. It seems as though you'd rather nickel and dime me with regard to the cost of return shipping rather than simply cover it as a courtesy to a customer who has paid for a product that is defective.  (3) The coat I am requesting in exchange is only because you no longer carry the other coat, therefore it's not even an option to do an even exchange. It's not $120 as you claim, but $55. The jacket I purchased was in the same price range so I don't think you need to get so hung up about the "generosity" of offering to cover $15, especially since I had to contact the Revdex.com initially to respond to my claims.  I just want to return this coat and get an exchange—that's it.
Regards,
