My home warranty company, American Home Shield (AMH), scheduled service with Comfort Home Appliance to repair my Miele Dishwasher The first technician quickly figured out the problem and ordered the part The second technician, a bull in a china shop, showed up to replace the part and hit his toolbox on the corner of my kitchen counter and damaged it The section needs to be replaced After numerous phone calls and emails with photos to the office manager, I called AHS to have them intervene Comfort Home Appliance denied damaging the property and said it was existing FLAT OUT LIE! Additionally, the Comfort Home Appliance rep., *** who AHS contacted didn't have his story straight He referenced the first visit in which no repairs were made Regardless, this company is UNPROFESSIONAL AND ARE LYING *** Yes, I'm upset, but rightly so I guess small claims court is next Why can't people take responsibility for their actions?

I called Comfort Home Appliance in March 2015. I had two problems needing to be resolved. 1) my 9 year old Maytag Freezer stopped getting cold. The tech said that it could be a couple of things. Since there was frost/ice buildup he melted the ice and checked where the problem could be and determined that the defrost timer was defective. He suggested that I could save money and buy the part myself. He found one on his truck so I told him to go ahead and replace it. I was charged $290 dollars for him to replace the defrost timer. Afterward I found the part online using the part number on the removed part and found a price of $41. Almost $250 for labor for an hours worth of work seems excessive. 2) my 5 year old Maytag refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer lost cooling in both compartments. I was quoted a price of approx. $400 to which I agreed to. He returned the next day. I don't remember what he called the part but do know that he said sopmething was leaking. He soldered in the new part. Problem solved or so I thought. Fast forward two weeks, my ice maker stopped making ice. I called Comfort Home Appliance. Same tech came out and told me that the ice maker needed to be replaced, that it wasn't part of the original repair but he would not charge me labor to install it and that when he got back to the office he would call me and if the price was acceptable they would order the ice maker. The next week the fan in the freezer started making a noise because of the buildup of ice. I called another repair company and was told that the first tech probably killed my refrigerator because it is almost impossible to get a repair done correctly when the gas is replaced. Too much gas and you have more problems. Too little gas and more problems.

I replaced the refrigerator.

I received a call two and a half weeks later requesting my email. address so that they could give me the estimate for the ice maker.

I do not have confidence in having these guys do any more work due to their pricing and lackadaisical work ethic.
