Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business.  Avatar did come out to the house and fix the vent, moldings, drawers, and cabinet doors on May 4th.  After they "fixed" the cabinet that holds the trash barrel, it wouldn't close so they had to resend the same person out to fix it again. It wasn't  a "warranty issue" they replaced the screws that they put in with larger screws. Again, shoddy workmanship on their part.  They sent a $12 refund to us, not a $21 dollar refund. I still believe the electrical is a problem, but it seems they refuse to get their sub-contractor, [redacted]al, out here to take a look to make sure. They state it passed inspection, and it did after 3 failures, it just seems strange to me that the electrical is not consistent throughout the kitchen. I would also like to say that even though they came out, finally, to fix the problems, it took us complaining to the Revdex.com for them to do it.  As I stated before, I would NOT recommend these people to anyone remodeling any rooms in their homes.  After they get your money, they don't really care what happens.Thank you for your help in resolving this matter.

Dan and the Avatar team did a great job at our home. We did too many items to list but some of the major items were a nice sized addition with a natural fireplace and a remodel of a basement half bath, adding a shower. It was a many month project with a lot of headaches (expected in such a major undertaking on an older home). Brian made it manageable and was always available to hear my concerns and rectify them. Now that it’s done we couldn’t be happier the quality is great and the job time table finished just about on time even with a lot of additional items I added along the way! Having the peace of mind of being able to contact Dan and Brian at anytime and get a prompt response made the entire project run smoothly.

I would happily recommend Avatar to do a job in my house again. More than their ability to get the job done, is the honestly, ethics and integrity. No job is without problems, but those problems alloy you to see whether you are dealing with a reputable contractor. And I was! All the workers were capable and responsive to our interests. If we called we were met with a friendly voice, Josh, who got our message quickly to the right person. Brian was on the scene overseeing things often. We were very satisfied with the outcome of our job and give Avatar a thumbs up!

We hired this company after the design/build process was completed to build a 4,585 sf house with 3 car garage on the land we purchased years ago. I could not be happier with my decision to build and the suggestions that were made on how to improve our value in many areas. We just moved in and had our first dinner at our new home and it fells great! Overall I have nothing to complain about and the quality of work was good.

This was a great project. Out team is very grateful for the business!

Very professional and prompt staff. The estimate was presented professionally and I like the work that was done to my home.
I liked how the designer had attention to detail and the management was always making me aware of the next step or was able to answer my questions, which is hard to come sometimes (not my first project). My kitchen looks great and my home is refreshed.
Great fit for larger projects. I recommend this company's service to anyone.

Thank you, we appreciate your business. We look forward to working with you in the future on another project!

Had a kitchen remodel done, per our contract it should have been finished in September. Electrical inspection failed 3 times before finally passing, only after the town inspector called Avatar's electrical contractor (***) that did the electrical work. The work was finally done in December 2018. Paid small amount over the amount on the contract. Never received a refund. Issues with electrical. Called explained the problem and were told the problem was normal. Not satisfied with that answer because it doesn't make sense that other outlets are not affected in the same way., and no one ever actually came out to look at it they just responded over the phone. Problem with the range hood's outside vent., The cover keeps falling off and the vent makes a rattling noise every time it's windy outside. Called Avatar to resolve the issue, when we get someone on the phone they state they will send someone to address the problem but weeks go by and they don't show up. Last attempt approximately 2-3 weeks ago, Avatar stated they "would order the part and send someone out on Friday" no one has showed up or called. We are now seeing small separation from the ceiling to the crown molding above cabinet and a couple of drawers are crooked. Haven't contacted Avatar about those yet, because they have been unresponsive to our other complaints. The owner promised, at the time we requested an estimate, that "they would always be available to correct any issues even after the work was completed, since they wanted any future work we might want." That hasn't happened.

I had a great experience with my project working with Avatar Construction team. I’ve got a kitchen remodeled and added 650 sqf addition to our house. I am at the third trimester of pregnancy and I am very happy with results because the work was done in a timely manner and communication was effortless. We spent total of $194,000 including the addition. The process took little over 10 weeks (not adding permitting time) and I couldn't ask for a better experience over all. Totally recommend them.

Avatar was very professional in getting my projected executed and I am very pleased with the quality and times lines. My home looks beautiful

I hired this company to renovate my bathroom and it was a huge mistake. The professionals that were sent to do the work were later referred to as “rookies” by the company owner. After four months my 5x6 bathroom was not only incomplete, but several things had to be redone. The new shower wasn’t pitched right, so it had to be ripped up and redone. The tile on the walls was crooked, the electrical and plumbing weren’t finished. The backsplash behind the sink was never tiled. The owner who gave me the estimate also told me that if I went to certain places to get the fixtures and tile I would get it at his cost. Not true, he had me pay retail. He also gave me the idea of installing a linear drain because it would be easier to clean and handicap accessible. After the shower was tiled he told me it wouldn’t work, and I was stuck with a $600 part. It cost me an additional 8,000 to have another company fix and complete the job. Then, the owner actually sued me for the final payment. Over the course of time this company was working at my house, I heard every excuse in the book. From family problems to being understaffed. The employees were obviously very inexperienced and it showed in their work. The whole company is a bunch of frauds and liars.

After talking with 4 different contractors about putting a new roof on my older building. I chose Avata Construction Corp, first they had the best price. Second they promised to do everything everyone else promised. They said the job would take two to three days. The crew worked diligently encountering some rain. Finished the job in a day. I want to hire them in the Spring to reside the building. Very pleased. Ron Pelletier

As someone that has built a home before, and someone that understands a bit in construction and engineering, hats off to Avatar for building a great home for my wife and I in Bedford. I know this industry isn't easy and I have seen the weather conditions and difficulties these guys go through, but seriously, these guys do it on time and on budget. We got a great deal on the kitchen cabinets and countertops as well.

This is absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with!!!! A 45-day contracted kitchen reno took over 6 months and extremely subpar work! I can't fit all my complaints in here, but I'll list the big ones. Tile floor was done wrong, they had to hire another company to come in, remove it and reinstall correctly (heated floor not working), my dining room area was compounded and painted 4 times, the last two times, by other companies that Avatar subcontracted to. Nazar's employees dumped all their chemicals/paints on my driveway and ruined it. One of his employees urinated in my kitchen sink (I have it on video). This is to just name a few problems. My job still isn't finished and he has instructed his employees not to come back without me giving more money. I have already paid $55k and he just keeps adding more bogus costs. Please save yourself the headache and go with another company.
