It's obvious that Mr*** is not going to let this matter go, and likely will continue to reject my responses This will be my last response on this matter Mr*** is upset, and there is nothing I can tell him that he will accept, because he wants a refund, not to get answers toward his satisfaction We have been in business for over years and we have never disclosed such information as Mr*** is wondering about Specifically, he wants to know "why is it not disclosed prior to paying the membership fee in full that a potential member MUST be open to meeting other people who do not live in their geographic area?" We make no official proclamation that members who join cannot have success unless they are open to meeting people in other geographic areas This would imply it's not probable to have success in your geographic area, which is not true In all our years in business, we have provided a service that has always maintained a much smaller membership base than competitors because of our focus on practice of the Catholic faith What has always been highly visible on our website is the great number of success stories, which clearly indicate a majority of stories being of two people from different geographic areasThis is a strong indicator before joining of the reality of our "advice" that people be open to other geographic areas to maximize the opportunities among our membership.
Those who have complained in the past about this geographic area issue have been disgruntled members who do not wish to meet someone who is not in their local area and wish to be refunded their money The fact that we do NOT mention any such information publically before joining the website should be enough to keep anyone from joining who has a necessity to know ahead of time if there are members in their area If that information is not provided or clear for them, they are free to not join our serviceFuther, we clearly provide our 'no refund' policy, which should also help those who think they might want to be refunded if you are not happy with the service to avoid joiningIt would have served Mr*** well to avoid paying for membership to a service that he had no certainty regarding any information imperative to him prior to joining
I'm sorry Mr*** is upset and does not feel his questions are being addressed as he would like, but there is nothing more we can do to help him

I am rejecting this response because:
Contrary to the most recent response from Ave Maria Singles
which stated, "there is nothing I can tell him that he will accept,"
there are actually two things they could tell me which I will gladly accept,
two things I have requested all along. The first would be confirmation of my
money refunded. The second, and more important, would be a change in the
organization's disclosure of information prior to a member joining. More
specifically, informing potential members they should be open to meeting others
outside of their geographical area and, if they are not ok with this, their
chances of meeting someone are greatly limited. If I cannot obtain a refund
personally, at the very least I wish to see this change implemented to prevent
others from spending their hard-earned money on a nonexistent service (again, a
total of only five members within a major metropolitan area). 
What bothers me the most is the continued inconsistency in
not only Ave Maria Singles’ business practices but also the responses I have
been receiving. The most recent statement includes the remark that the organization
makes “no official proclamation that members who join cannot have success
unless they are open to meeting people in other geographic areas.” But within
the very same paragraph they report the great number of success stories posted
on their website “which clearly indicate a majority of stories being of two
people from different geographic areas.” As they have now done multiple times
in their various statements to myself, the organization bounces from making the
claim that it is possible to meet others who live nearby while simultaneously
admitting that a majority of success stories involve long-distance
relationships. Once again, what they advertise as an option is clearly a
requirement for members –that is, the willingness to enter into a long-distance
relationship- why is this not simply disclosed upfront? If this was “clearly” indicated,
as they purport, then I would not have joined and this would have been a much
simpler matter.
I would like to draw special attention to the statement, “Those
who have complained in the past about this geographic area issue have been
disgruntled members who do not wish to meet someone who is not in their local
area and wish to be refunded their money. “ 
It could not be more clear that these complaints, due to a lack of
transparency and deceiving business practices, represent an ongoing pattern and
I am not alone in my “disgruntled” dissatisfaction. For this reason, my goal is
for no one else to be misled by this in the future. And once again, this is
contrary to other statements they have made within their responses in which
they claim that few others have had similar complaints. Inconsistency,
disparity, and disinformation all seem to be recurring traits of Ave Maria Singles’
website, business practices and customer service.
To reiterate, simply referring to a pre-existing “no refund
policy” does not dispel the fact that a service was paid for and not delivered.
If Ave Maria Singles does not wish to provide any more
responses that is their prerogative but I do not consider this matter closed.

Everyone who joins has to agree to the "no refund” policy at the time of joining and making membership payment. He also clairns to have not known that he might encourter thesituation where his primary opporluftities would be with worries, who live in other goographic regions. He also claims to be concerned about others who might be "misled and spending alot of money on a dating website that has very few members to meet". Review: I joined and paid the $154.00 to join the web dating service [redacted] by credit card. I joined on February 14, 2013. I sent out messages to 63 men in the beginning. Some accounts were deleted and some should have or were going to deactivate their accounts because they found someone. The site was not an active site. I had about 14 replies back and I logged on February 27, and February 28th the site was down and I could not get on. It went back up on March 1st and the site went down on March 7th and today is March 11th and I have not been able to get back on again. I tried on 2 different computers and different connections. I had 2 of my friends try. One down in [redacted] and she tried 3 times and one in [redacted] to check the connection. Neither one can access this web-site. They both told me I was ripped off of my money.

I am very dissapointed. I tried calling the telephone number of [redacted] who runs this site for many years and the telephone number was not in service. The telephone number is [redacted] I know he uses the name of the business AS Written Productions for other things as well so even if he shut down [redacted] he should be open doing other things. He is also on [redacted] and listed under that business name AS Written Productions for other businesses.Desired Settlement: I just want a complete refund of $154.00 back. I saved up my money for this for a long time and to have this happen on a [redacted] web-site that was in business and legitimate for many years I think I deserve a complete refund. I was not even on here a month and I cannot access it so its not my fault. The payment of $154.00 I believe is for one year or life.

This person never contacted the customer service department of [redacted] with their problems. It sounds as if during the first weeks of membership [redacted] had a degree of success and usability of the site in keeping with realistic expectations for online dating sites.
