Dear Revdex.comOn 5/21/2014 I contacted Von Kekel Salons (the one located at 4209-114 Lassiter Mill Rd. Raleigh NC XXXXX) to schedule an appointment. I use to go to this Salon when I lived in the Raleigh area years before. I was told the stylist I use to see, [redacted] was no longer there and that I would need to schedule a consultation visit so they could look at my hair THEN schedule the appointments. I did that and drove from [redacted] NC to Raleigh on 5/22/2014 and met with [redacted] a Senior Stylist with Von Kekel. She told me she could cut my hair that day but I would have to come back since she didn't have any openings to do the color that we talked...extensively about. I let her cut my hair and on 5/22/2014 I was charged $62.00 plus a $15 tip for that service. I came back on 5/23/2014 for the 2 hour appointment to do the color. As I stated, I spoke Extensively with [redacted] about what I wanted as far as color goes. I was touching up my grayish roots every month and doing foil every 3 months with blonde highlights. I told her I want a lighter blonde to better blend with the gray (what I had was more golden blonde) so that I wouldn't have to color my roots every month. She agreed she could do that for me. She proceeded to use foils and had 3 different bowls of color that she used on the foils. She explained it would look more "natural this way." After 2 hours, she brought me back to dry my hair and the first thing out of her mouth when I leaned in to look at my hair was that she didn't want me to see it until she had dried it because it looked like it was darker than she wanted/thought it would be. She proceeded to dry and style my hair and when she finished and turned me around..I had medium brown roots at my scalp and light brown and dark blonde color! That charge was $213.30 on 5/23/2014 with a $20 tip. I have been trying every since to have this fixed and she wont without more charges. I even contacted [redacted] the DMProduct_Or_Service: Roots touch up with Light Blonde HighlightsDesired SettlementI would like a refund since she messed my hair up! I contacted her over and over for over 7 days asking when she could "fix" the mistake and she keep avoiding my calls. I then started emailing on the Website to get help. District Manager [redacted] contacted me by email on 6/7/2014 at 9:33am saying basically the same thing as [redacted] They obviously don't fix mistakes for free. I also explained in detail what happened as ** told basically a lie about the entire visit.Business Response It is unfortunate that the situation has reached this level. Ms. [redacted] had color, hilite and cut services with our stylist [redacted] She called to express her dissatisfaction with the color service. She called repeatedly on both Sunday a d Monday and was told ** returned to work Tues. ** contacted her via phone and email. ** told her a heavier highlights should make her happy and told her she would incur a charge as Ms. [redacted] had box color and ** was essentially for a color correction. Ms. [redacted] was I satisfied with paying for additional hilites so ** and myself offered the additional hilites complimentary. The offer of complimentary hilites still stands. Ms. [redacted] is welcome to call and schedule an appt. for this service at her convenience as has been relayed to her via email by both ** and myself.Consumer Response The response is full of untruths. Please have them send you a copy of this email ** was "suppose to have sent me.". There never was email contact from her. Every day I called her she could not come to the phone. One day I called and she was off. I left 2 numbers for her, then my cell only for the 3 days I was at the beach. She called mtpy home and left a 2 second message to call her on my Home number knowing I wasnt home. ONLY when I asked the front desk for the Managers contact info did she come to the phone. My visit was NOT a color correction due to box color. This simply is a lie. My visit was for a color change. To make it blonder. They are acting like I showed up there with a color problem which is not the case. For them to act like that was the reason for my visit is simply untrue. ** was told during a very extensive consultation what I wanted and being a so called Senior Stylist you would think she could do what she claimed she could do. Maybe if she would have spent more time concentrating on my hair and not bad mouthing a customer that was trying to get worked in for hair and makeup for her sons wedding, or all the time spent talking about the food and "fake, skinny women" (her words) while she was in california , she might have recognized the fact that she took me from blonde to brown. Also, MY call with ** went differently than the fabricated story above. She said...I can't FIX your hair for free , but I can for $50 which is a discount. She used the word FIX because she knew that is what was needed...to be fixed. I am not interested in letting any of them touch my hair again. Because of their false statements, I am fearful just what they may do to me next. I'm glad that if this isnt resolved that it will be posted on your website. At this point, I'm considering small claims as $200 Is way too much to throw away and then have them add insult to injury with their lies. Thank you for accepting my claim. Final Business Response We are happy to attempt to rectify this issue with Ms. [redacted] and and as stated in my last response it is unfortunate that it has reach this level. The offer to do complimentary highlights with either our stylist, ** or another senior stylist stands. The information included in my response is truthful to the best of my knowledge. We have been in business for 16 years, and we always make every effort to accomplish complete customer satisfaction.
