Review: I was charged $50.00 for a key on my debit card 3 days after I checked out of the Historic Street Car Inn in New Orleans, La. (Formerly the Avenue Garden Hotel)I called to discuss this issue with the manager and was left twice on the phone on hold. I asked my bank not to let it go through until I got an answer as to why I was charged that amount. I turned in the one set of keys into the drop box when I left on Oct. 9th and then on Oct. 12th they charged me for keys?? I can not be held responsible for keys 3 days after I leave. I left them in the drop box because there was nobody up front to check me out.Desired Settlement: I would like my $50. refunded because I did not owe that amount to them. They took it and I consider it fraud being as I turned in the keys.

Review: Arrived for our 3 night reservation. Upon entering the room (#24) we found it to be very unsanitary. The sheets were very dirty. Hair and stains as well as dirt particles were all in the bedsheets. The entire room was very filthy. We went back down to the front desk and advised about the condition of the room. The front desk lady said there was nothing she could do and handed me the managers card and told me to call him in the morning. There were no other rooms available. We left at that point. Upon calling the manager the next day he advised his opinion was we left without reason and there would be no refund at all. We did offer to pay the first night and asked for a partial refund as a compromise. Even though they had already rented the room we were told no refund as it is policy.Desired Settlement: Refund of our money as room was not suitable for rent.
