Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Because of all the reasons I've stated many times and ways, before in this complaint Bastan Auto Center told me a number of times before the sale, that I could recover the difference in sales tax, charged by California over my state, Colorado ($708.38), and I cannot! I would not have traveled to California to buy the car if I had been told the truth about the taxes So I'm out of $because of what I was told and believed by the dealer/owner, and that is the way it ends, my loss! Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: My complaint, as I have stated many times, is not that the state of California had to collect sales tax on the purchase of my car at the time of sale I always understood that perfectly My complaint is that I was told by the sales force of Bastan Auto Center and it's owner, in no uncertain terms initially and before signing the sales contract, that I could recover the $dollars difference in California's sales tax and my state, Colorado's sales tax from the DMV I cannot and that was known by the seller
For the second or third time, I have received a response to my complaint, which does not address it at all I am curious, how many times I have to restate my complaint in response to a statement that does not in any way answer my complaint? Sincerely,*** ***

According to State board of equalization and DMV regulations if out of state customer buying vehicle and decide to drive in state of california MUST PAY SALES TAX AT COUNTY RATE OF THE SELLER OR PROVIDE THE TRANSPORTATION WITH BILL OF LADING TO HULL THE VEHICLE FROM CALIFORNIA TO OTHER STATEPlease

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: This response does not address my complaint in any way I understand that an out of state buyer has to pay California sales tax on an auto purchased My complaint is that, I was told by the seller, in no uncertain terms, on two occasions, that I could recover the greater difference of California sales tax and my state of residence, Colorado ($708.19) I specifically asked if this was the case immediately before I signed the sales contract and was not told the truth I have offered a compromise settlement, that could end this complaint, and that is what I will accept. This is the state of CA sales Tax regulationSales tax is required for auto sale at the time of sales and has been explained to the customer at time of sales and he has signed and agreed on the sales contract

Sales tax collected paid to state board of equalization for the customer, and has nothing to do with Bastan Auto Center
