Review: Averett University along with bill collection agency [redacted] & [redacted] have filed against my Perkins student loan and placed a default on my credit as well as national loan report. Earlier this year I filed a complaint against both parties with Revdex.com because every other loan company that I have student loans with have either deferred or canceled my school loans due to my income AND also because I have re-enrolled and am attending school full time. Averett as well as [redacted] & [redacted] continue to harass me for $2000 which I obviously cannot afford to pay because all of my other student loans (over 174,000 dollars) are canceled. WHY is this the only company and SCHOOL harassing me? I have been enrolled and receiving financial aid (again, because of my income) ever since August 2015 and Averett University and the gentleman located at [redacted] placed and back dated a default to February 2015. Not only is it ILLEGAL but UNETHICAL. If I had the default, then I would not be able to enroll in school and receive financial aid for classes in August. It is ILLEGAL what these parties did. Now I am in another term and received a letter stating I am in default. ILLEGAL activity-- and when I called Averett, the gentleman finally called me back after 2 days and left a message stating "I will be in the office until 4:30 PM today, and then I am in on Monday and then off the rest of the week." Very disrespectful and it appears that his personal life is more important than removing a default that was illegally placed on my credit and with my current school.Desired Settlement: I would like the default removed and a letter faxed to my current university as soon as possible so that I can continue my classes. They want me to repay a loan, well I am trying to complete school to make more money to take care of my family and pay back my loans!
