I receively applied and signed a lease to Avery park apartment less than a week ago and they failed to mention their roach infestation.'over the weekend of June 19-current there have been nothing but roaches everywhere so due to along with cracks along the wall under the doors and under the carpet. I told the issue and ask to be moved to a different unit and they claim they didn't have anymore available and over the weekend my grandparent who are elderly now need my help so I won't be able to further the lease onto of the pest issues. I asked to be out of my lease and the only thing they could agree on is I would have to paid July and maybe August rent until they find someone else to put in the apartment. I feel like I shouldn't have to pay anything bc I don't live in the apartments and couldn't even stay a night bc it was so bad. I had to sleep in my car.Desired SettlementI would like for the resolution to be fixed by not paying anything bc it's not my problem they have a roach infestation. I'm a full time college student. I don't want my deposit back or pro rate I paid just out of it completely so I can look to save for a better apartment.Business Response Based on a conversation the Revdex.com had with the company, Ms. [redacted] stated that the consumer moved in and three days later moved out. The first issue that the consumer stated was the apartment was roach infested. The company states that they checked on that issue and stated that the pest control advised them that they did not see anything. Ms. [redacted] stated once they advised the consumer the information Ms. [redacted] wanted to break her lease because her grandparents were sick and that consumer has to take care of them. The property manager stated that because of the circumstance they allowed the consumer to be responsible for only one month of the lease and she broke the lease. Ms [redacted] states that the remainder of the complaint is falsification. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I dot not accept the response because they did not check the apartment throughly. There were roaches coming not from up under the door inside the house. My reason for breaking the lease is because I have to take care of my grandparents onto of the issues in the apartment.

Constant repairs of water pipes getting "sealed" and not actually repaired due to constant happenings.When first moving in the apartments on January 2016 I experienced a water leak coming from under kitchen sink within a week's time of moving in also the hose that connected to washer was shooting out water. I called the office when noticing it it took about a week for maintenance to get out. About 2 months later my bathroom sink got flooded and I called the office and talked to the young ladies in office. I waited for about 4 days and no one still had showed so I called back and I was informed someone would show however I ended up waiting another four dayss. Also, I asked for a window screen the young lady in the office promised to give me one, has not get brought that and that was about a month ago. On April 16th there was a home invasion/shooting due to drug dealing and someone got killed. Also the kids have no guidance around here they are constantly playing in the streets about to cause car collisions and are outside past curfew. Now my floors have flooded due to the tenants hotwater heater bursting and leaking downstairs. I called about the leak maintenance showed the next day and had someone suction water however when getting up, the floors were flooded again today. I've called the office and no one has yet to show. I am tired of constantly having these bad experiences.Desired SettlementI am seeking that the business does a better job with security rules being enforced in apartments and repairs get repaired not "patched" up.Business Response Upon my visit on 5/2 speaking with Mr. [redacted] the lease holder state that all repairs have and was done in a timely manner. he was very please with the response of our staff on getting the job done.sincerely [redacted] Property ManagerConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I agree with the business on the last incident getting repaired in a timely manner however, I was addressing overall issues and the constant happenings of negative things occurring. Prior to the last issue there were repairs needed to be done which they HAD NOT done in a timely manner. In order to solve future issues dealing with repairs, more maintenance guys may need to be hired and the apartments DEFINITELY need security, which is an issue that has yet to be solved.

I left my apartment in 08-01-2015 and haven't got my deposit back . It's been all most 3 months and I haven't seen my money . (Avery Park)n/aDesired SettlementNothing .
