This complaint comes from a customer who wished to be refunded of a background checkAvidBrain's largest asset is our tutors, and we take top priority in making them happy, however we must also look at the safety of our students and customersIn order to become a tutor on AvidBrain, a user must submit to, and pay for a background check, with a refund granted upon completion of their first tutoring sessionIn the case of paying for a background check, a tutor is doing exactly that, they are purchasing a background check that they have access to, this is handled by a 3rd party system, where we are just given a response if the user has in fact passed the background checkBeing an online marketplace, it is made aware to all tutors that they are not guaranteed students to tutorThis fact is sometimes misunderstood by tutors who think they will be given students automaticallySince our tutors are our main asset, we worked alongside to help this user get her refund and delete her profile on the site

AvidBrain refunded a customer previously for their background check and are not refunding me. I have also had no clients through them, just like the other customer. She got refunded, and they refused to refund me for my background check. Thanks!
