Business states that the consumer came by the business last week and was issued a check in the amount of $260.50. It was written and accepted on 11/17/2015 by [redacted] who was representing the customer. Business considers the matter resolved.

Mr. [redacted] came to my shop so I could replace the suspension on his truck. I only charged him for labor and gave him no warranty since  he had  provided  the parts. The job was done and truck was delivered once the labor was completed of which Mr. [redacted] verified before...

removing it from my shop. He verified that everything was good before the truck was released to him and at no time did he notice or mention anything was damaged. This gentleman took his truck, payed his bill and two weeks after he called me saying that I had damaged the CV boot on his truck and wanted me to replace the hoses. I explained to him that I did not damage anything but if he wanted to go buy the hoses I would do the service without charging him for labor. He insisted that I had to buy and replace the parts. I, to avoid the problem getting bigger, told Mr. [redacted] that I agreed to him going and purchasing the hoses (mentioned that they would cost $23.00) and to bring them to me and I would reimburse him the amount mentioned, replace them, and bring this matter to a close. then Mr. [redacted] changed his mind and now wanted me to replace all the part from the CV boot, of which I told him was an abuse on his part because he was trying to take advantage of me by accusing me of damage that was probably already present before the service was done. In addition, at no time have I refused to cooperate with Mr. [redacted], I offered him a solution to the problem by doing the service and reimbursing the cost for parts($23.00). Now he is demanding that I pay him for all costs of damages that he is certain I caused and that he found two weeks after the service in question was done of which he verified before removing his truck from my shop and made sure everything was good. I am willing to realize the aforementioned service at no cost, what I do not believe is just and not in agreement with is that Mr. [redacted] is trying to hold me responsible for damages to his truck that were not mentioned from the first time the truck came to my shop.

Review: Avila auto repair replace the front suspension on my truck. Paid a total of $380 for the labor only. I provided all the parts a total of $549.49 my vehicle was returned to me with damage to the drivers side front axle. It seems they have punctured holes on the CV boot to the axle by accident, during the intent to remove the sway bar links with a grinder which ricocheted off and hit the CV boot, It so happens that I happen to witness the incident. But due to me not being a mechanic I thought nothing of the situation. I took off driving my vehicle, thinking everything was 100%. Not knowing that the damage has been done, and there would be consequences to come in the near future. The bearing on the axle was exposed to dirt, road debris, water and most important of all leaking grease. The whole purpose of the CV boot is to keep the bearing sealed not exposed. Throughout a week, about 300 miles later, I drove on it leaking grease so basically on a dry bearing and now noise was present grinding sound. Avila repair refused to fix the damage they had done. This damage has cost me a total of $240.51 that I believe I should not be held accountable for. I have all my receipts for all the costs. Im requesting that Avilaauto repair should reimburse me for my cost. Also to address the fact that why would this business release my vehicle knowing damage prior to releasing it. Did the asume I would not find out? Now if you understand the fundamentals of mechanics we know that axles are replaced in paris just like tires, brakes. Due to financial reasons this is something I haven't been able to accomplish but I'm looking forward to do in the next couple of days.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement for the total amount of cost for the damages done.
