Avis Car Sales Reviews (%countItem)

I purchased my car on June 8th, 2020. I still do not have my tittle and my temporary license has expired on August 4th. I still do not have my extra set of keys. When I contacted the general manager Michael Parsons, he requested my insurance information again (to date, I emailed it to them 3 times) and claimed he sent it to the state, then to the "tittle girls". I also got the information that because of COVID everything is slow. I waited another month and got the same run around. I am questioning the legitimacy of this business. I finally got an answer from Michael Parsons (all in capital letters) that he forwarded my insurance information again. The same run around. No ETA, no answer and noone is answering my questions about the extra set of keys, ETAs, tittle. I had 2 friends buying cars from a reputable dealer 1 and 2 months later and they already got their plates. I beleive this business is not legit.

We have an extra key for the customer and Mike Parsons is contacting them today to make arrangements to get it to them.

With the covid situation, it has slowed our process down considerably. I checked today with our title company and they are telling us that the state has the paperwork and we are waiting to receive the plates. They will be overnighted to the customer as soon as they are received. I was told this should be no longer than one week since we are currently looking at a holiday weekend.

We hope that this resolves the issue and welcome the customer to contact us with any further question. She can contact our regional manager *** at ***-***-*** with any further question.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I got the keys and they said the tittle and the plates should come to me in 2 weeks.

I came in Saturday (05-30-2020) afternoon, test drove the vehicle I wanted, and put a $500 advance on my down payment, as I was told they'd hold the vehicle for me until Monday. Ignoring the fact that they blasted my credit with 5 inquiries and tried to low-ball me with an absurdly high APR, I worked out the issue they took with my pre-approval, and was en route Monday morning with the rest of my payment. Only to be told that, due to some level of miscommunication, within the 5 hours they were still open that day before closing until Monday, the vehicle I had paid an advance on was sold. The only level of what can be called respect I received, was receiving not a phone call, but a text before I wasted more of my time driving to their location. Wether this is truly a display of the inadequacy of their staffs communication skills, or simply a practice of screwing over those who don't buy on the spot, I don't care to distinguish. I was able to thankfully get my deposit back, but this practice they have is disgusting. Their customer service seems to take no level of responsibility for its own broken practices.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:They're are incorrect with stating that the inquiries cannot be removed though, as all that should take from my understanding is a letter to said lender with the request for them to take the appropriate steps. I understand mistakes happen, but when something as valuable as a person's credit is dragged down by poor business practice, they should find a more effective manner of ensuring they can keep their word.

Unfortunately, the vehicle was sold by another sales rep. It was an extremely busy day and that is not our normal practice. We would be happy to get him another vehicle from our fleet to meet his needs. He has said that he does not want us to do this? He signed a credit application to have us try and get him financing, which is what we did. He had very limited credit and we tried a few banks which we were successful in helping with the financing. There is no way to have the banks that looked at his application take the inquiry off of his history unfortunately.

We are here to help with his purchase if we would get the opportunity to get him another vehicle.
