Review: I rented a vehicle on 7/19/14 from Budget. On 7/22/14 the transmission was slipping and we received an error message on the vehicle. I contacted the emergency line and they stated to try and restart it and we did and it worked for awhile. It happened again on 7/25/14 on our way to San Francisco from Sacramento but the check engine light stayed illuminated and we had to turn around. This car had caused us so many issues that I asked if we could get an extension on our rental and the person said to call the customer service line. I contacted [redacted] at the service line and she stated that they could not do anything until I was charged for the entire rental. I explained to her that them taking my money and them going through the process of a refund is bad for me because I do not have the extra money. She told me again the same thing and I called back and spoke with someone else who read [redacted]'s call log and stated the same thing ande she said that I would need to call and get an extension. I then called them to get an extension and explained the situation and they stated that the customer service line should be able to take care of this and I let them know that [redacted] and her coworker stated that I needed to call the extended rental area. He apologized to me and told me that the rental can come back on Monday 7/28/14 with no charge to me. I returned the car that m,orning and saw the charge was going to be the full amount with the extended days and they stated that I would have to talk to their supervisor but my flight left in 30 minutes and she did not arrive until after it left.Desired Settlement: I originally wanted the extended rental to be free of charge but now in order to get my and my family and friends business back, I require a full refund. This is because I have spoken to 3 belligerent "customer service" representatives who would not let me speak to a manager, were bullies, and were by no means friendly and helpful. I am very upset that the matter of the extension of the rental when the original vehicle broke and caused me time on my family's vacation meant nothing to them.
