Review: I went to Dr. [redacted] on 10/1/2013 for an eye exam. I brought frames that I wanted to keep and just have new lenses put in. Today is 10/28/2013 and still do not have my glasses. I was given the run around for the past couple of weeks and told them to not do anti-glare lenses to save 2 additional days. I needed to call them today to follow-up. supposedly the glasses will be in tomorrow. I've never heard of waiting 1 month to receive perscription lenses. My lenses are not unusual and do not require any special requirements. They are blaming this soley on the new health care act effective 10/1/2013. My insurance has nothing to do with Obama Care and was not affected in any other way. I will never go back to this facility or recommend them to anyone.Desired Settlement: I don't want a settlement, I just want my glasses. I don't even know if the perscription this doctor perscribed is accurate. I feel there should be some compensation just for poor customer service. I truly feel I shouldn't owe them anything.

Response:
Dear Ms. [redacted]:
[redacted] was seen in our office 10/01/2013 for an eye exam and prescription lenses. The process of filling her prescription was held up by the inability of her insurance company to process the lab work in a timely fashion due to a new laboratory system they were setting up. The lab work was done by her insurance carrier and was not done by our own lab which we have control over. This had nothing to do with the new health care act, but was due to her insurance carrier. We had tried numerous times to try to expedite the lab work, but the insurance carrier's lab was having trouble with their new system. We apologized for the delay several times. This dilemma is between Ms. [redacted] and her insurance carrier. We do understand her frustration in the delay.
Sincerely,
