[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Yes he's right, he did replace two sensors that the other Meineke in [redacted] didKeith replaced them because he said the Meineke in [redacted] put the wrong ones so he put them because I had warranty on those sensorsHe also put the catalytic converter on the same day which was 4-21-So that means I paid for the service and once again I paid diagnostic to Keith for the $just to find out the two sensors were not for my carSo who's mistake is that? Meineke'sThat's why it had to be replaced and at that time keith did not suggest or give me an invoice saying that I needed anything else done to my car because the only code that popped up was PObank After that I had no problems for at least months and when he replaced the sensor and catalytic converter, Keith told me I had to drive atleast miles to make sure the code don't come back on which it didn't but I never got to drive the miles before it came on againBut this time the code was PObank A different code for the first time and I never had an engine problem til this day I don't have an engine problem only a catalytic converter problem cause if I would have any other problem I would have gotten it fixed right away just like I did the tune up and PCM at [redacted] dealer and the invoice is there if there was an engine problem [redacted] would have let me know so I don't even understand why the manager is commenting about what was done or said if ted was not present til I went to the last visits when they replaced my converter once again he put a bigger one which he said it would hold more emission and erase the codeThen after the converter was replaced which Ted was present that's when I first met him I asked him if he can drive my truck with me in the passenger side because my truck was making a loud noise he drove it and he told me that it was the converter since he put a bigger one in itHe said that the noise will go away once it builds carbon and it hasn'tIt is going on months and still the noise continuesI called the shop a few times and every time I call they kept telling me for two weeks that ted was not in but they continued to take my messages so at that time, I decided to call ted since he gave me his personal phone number, I called and texted himHe never answered my texts or callsI also have proofThat's when I had no choice but to call corporate and Revdex.com and here we are and the only reason ted answered was cause Meineke corporate did a three way after that he said all he can do is give me a half hour of looking and checking it and I feel why would he want to look at it if he knows whats wrong with it because the only code on my truck is PObank just like sears technician checked my truck tooThe only thing wrong with the truck was the catalytic converter that's why I declined because we was not going to get no whereSo instead of going and having an altercation I decided to contact Revdex.com and all proof will be attached to this page Regards, [redacted]

Mr*** claims that he was not informed that the condition of his engine could effect his emissions componentsI can not speak for the original shop that replaced his oxygen sensor the first timeI do know that he was told he needed a catalytic convertor and it wasn't replaced right awayWe did however replace that oxygen sensor after is failed the diagnostic testHe was told then by keith the manager told that his problems would not go away until his engine was running properlyWhen he brought his vehicle back after the catalytic convertor had failed for the second time I personally informed him that his vehicle was not running properly and would damage the catalytic convertor again and possibly the oxygen sensors.He informed me that he already had an appointment to get the engine worked on and just wanted a new convertorI installed a new convertor under warrenty and afterward while we were both in the vehicle he told me that he did not have an appointment to get it fixed because he had a bunch of recent expenses and his money was tight.He asked me how long he had before the second convertor would go badMy response was there is no way of telling and it should have been serviced at 100,mile as stated in his vehicle manual as per the dealership.I offered to take a look at his vehicle again at no chargeHe stated that wasn't good enough unless I promised to fix whatever is wrong with his vehicle at no charge, I informed him that there was no way that was happpening.our position has not changedI allotted time for him to bring his car in a he cancelledWe feel that he does not derve a refund and we are not not going to garuantee him that we will fix his car for free.Thank You,Theodore B***

Keith replaced them because he said the Meineke in [redacted] put the wrong ones so he put them because I had warranty on those sensors. He also put the catalytic converter on the same day which was 4-21-17. So that means I paid for the service and once again I paid diagnostic to Keith for the $90 just to find out the two sensors were not for my car. So who's mistake is that? Meineke's. That's why it had to be replaced and at that time keith did not suggest or give me an invoice saying that I needed anything else done to my car because the only code that popped up was PO430 bank 1. I am rejecting this response because: As I indicated, I was not aware of the contract terms until after I phoned to pay my account off. Mr. B[redacted] claims his service writers are trained to provide all information how the program works however, Mr. B[redacted] was not present during this transaction to assure this was explained to me. Therefore he should not assume I was provided with this information leaving no possibility an error was made on behalf of his staff. Also, I was advised a text and email was sent to me on the date of service providing me with my contract. I’ve requested the date stamp showing when the email was sent. As, I indicated I never received an email or text. Providing this information will assure me it was actually sent to my email address at the time of purchase, without it you have no proof it was actually sent to my email address on 1/21/16 as you are indicating. If an email indeed was sent on 1/21/16 to my email address, there should be confirmation to support it and should not be a problem for you to provide. I was informed this original email could not be provided which leaves me to believe it was never sent. Again these fees are equivalent to those of a payday loan in which is illegal in the state of Pennsylvania. I feel that this is why they purposefully did not provide me with any of that information in advance, this was entrapment.

I am rejecting this response because:They never told me about a tune up until September 25th and I did it and if they would had, it would be on the invoices they gave me and it is not. They are only offering to look at my truck not fix what I paid for. Everytime I go they want to charge me for a diagnostic for the same code knowing the problem, I am only asking for half of my $1,358 that I spent, I want to get it fixed somewhere else, I have the same problem that I went for. My proof is in the attachments.

Mr. [redacted] bought his vehicle into our shop for a check engine light on 4/21/2017. The code was a P.O. 430 which indeicates a failure in the catalyst system on the bank 2 side of the engine. There are 8 possible cause of failure. They are marked as #1 on page one of diagnostic repair manuel. Mr....

[redacted] authorized replacement of P/s catalytic convertor. The convertor was bad because of a rattle in convertor which tells us that the substrote ceramic insides of the convertor that reburts exhaust was broken and not working properly. After removing old convertor the insides were in fact broken warrenting convertor replacement. Catalytic convertor have no moving parts and are designed to last the life time of the vehicle. Improper maintenance or engine tune is the leading cause for catalytic convertor failure. Mr. [redacted] was asked if his car had spark plugs replaced which is due at 100,000 miles and he stated no that he did not but was going to get it done.On 9/25/2017 Mr. [redacted] returned with his vehicle and had the same code P.O. 430. He was charged for diagnostics 85.00 and it was determined that bank 1 sensor 2 was flat line which means that it was not working properly. Its job is to read oxygen in the exhaust system to determine if catalytic convertor is working properly. He authorized replacement of oxygen sensor which was preformed and check with scan tool after repair and was working properly. The oxygen sensor is one of the 8 possible causes for the P.O. 420 code as stated by #1 on page 1 of diagnostic sheet. Mr [redacted]'s car had still not been tuned up and also had an extened crank when starting car indicating other issues. He stated that he knew his needed tuned up but he did not have the money to get it fixed yet.He returned on 9/29/2017 and had the code for catalytic convertor failure again at which time we corrcted the issue by replacing the catalytic convertor with a new convertor that is desined to handle more emission load. This was done at no charge. Again Mr. [redacted] still had not gotten his vehicle tuned up. He once again stated that he planned on doing it but did not have the money at the time. He was again told that driving his vehicle past manufactures recommended mileage witout replacing tune up part would damage the catalytic convertor and void his warrenty.He did get his tuned up. 7 months later after driving 18,000 miles. On his repair order his vehicle had platinum plugs installed which are not original equipment. The original plugs are an iridium plug which burn to a higher temperature and last longer.Mr. [redacted] called Meinke Corp to complain because his light came back on in his car and was told we would look at his vehicle for 85 our standard diagnostic charge. This was not accetable to him. I told him that I would personally look at his car for no charge and he made an oppointment to come in on 11/21/2017. I guess in his statement he wants me to fix his car for free no matter whats wrong with it or he is not coming in. Mr. [redacted] was informed numerous times that maintaning his vehicle tune would was nesessary to prevent other damage to his catalytic convertor and other emisssion points and refused to do so. Acc parts that were replaced on his car were tested and confirmed bad at time of replacedment and tested to be working properly after replacement.Our stance is I am still willing to look at his vehicle again for free but there is no way that he should expected to have a oral garuntee that we will fix his car no matter what is wrong with it especially after he neglected to proper maintain his vehicle.Thank You,Theodore B[redacted], Owner
