Review: New front porch roof installed on 09/10/2013 has ongoing leak problems since installation. Repeated phone calls, emails with photos, and meetings showing video have not resulted in final and permanent fix. Promises of a roofer coming to fix it have not materialized. First leak was reported on 9/16/2013, we repeatedly reported the ongoing problem, yet it continues to date. The leak over the front door entrance is a problem year round, and in cold weather the puddles freeze on porch landing and front steps, causing hazardous conditions for occupants, guests and postal carriers. Excessive ice on steps caused mortar to crumble and required us to pay to get them repaired spring of 2014 and will need to be done again this spring of 2015. We are forced to conclude that [redacted] and his company, Awning Design, have no intention to rectify this ongoing problem of nearly two years.Desired Settlement: A porch roof and gutters that do not leak. Either correctly and permanently repair it or replace completely with new roof and gutters that do not leak.

Awning Design staff has returned to this clients home several times since the initial installation in 2013 to examine and add sealant to the areas where dripping was identified at the section where the flat panel aluminum awning makes contact with the roof line and by the gutter where water drains. We want our customers to be satisfied and will set up a time to return and make every attempt to alleviate the issue.

I am rejecting this response because Awning Design's comments are not accurate. Awning Design returned twice in 2013, not several times, to apply sealant, and both times it failed to stop the leaks. After we called and emailed numerous times, we finally met with [redacted] in August of 2014. He said he'd be sending an installer to take a look - no appointment was scheduled with us and no one came to fix the leaks. Our follow up phone calls and emails in September 2014 also did not result in an appointment. We sent [redacted] an additional follow up email in October, but received no response. Yesterday (May 12, 2015) [redacted] called to schedule an appointment for the week of May 18th for the installer, [redacted] to add flashing. [redacted] says he will get back to me with a date and time for the appointment when he has spoken with [redacted] about scheduling. It remains to be seen whether the appointment is made, kept and if the work that will be done finally fixes the ongoing leaks.
