First of all. When you went on a test drive, you were driving and could have turned the radio off. As for people talking, there was only you and 1 person from our business for insurance purposes. So the only talking would have been our representative talking to you. You did not come back asking to...

return the vehicle. We explained to you the noise your hearing is because of the aggressive tires on the suv. You claim to have taken the vehicle to several mechanics and they all say the issue is a bearing. You have provided no proof of being to other mechanics. We have checked the bearings right in front of you and there is no bearing issue. We have been a Revdex.com accreditted business since 2011 and you are our first complaint. We even called and got you a great price on new tires, you say you need anyway since you are driving to Chicago, but you also refused our help there. Our record with the Revdex.com speaks for itself. Your claims are unfounded and not true. The reason you were told to leave our place of business is because you accused us of breaking your power steering and scratching your vehicle on the 4th test drive we did trying to accomidate your claim of bad bearings. You then became beligerant and we had customers on site.

My name is George F. K[redacted] Jr.  I am the owner of Axe Auto Sales. This is the only time I have heard anything regarding this issue. Whyhas Gary L[redacted] not talked to me the owner? Dale is an employee of the company. He is the head mechanic. I talked to Dale regarding this issue. The job was...

originall done about a year ago. When he came back 6 months later, he was not charged a fee, because we value our existing customers. We do not warranty our repairs that our over 15 days or 500 miles. Also Dale gave the customer the opportunity to call meat ###-###-####. Obviously he did not make that attemp like he stated. This phone # is on my big sign for all to see. There is always 2sides of the story, and at this time I am not willing to give him his money back. He also refused Dale to give him a free look at his vehicle, to see what was wrong with it. Obviously, since he originally had the vehicle serviced here, he thinks every time it leaks fluid that it should be covered forever. It is a used vehicle and does not come with a lifetime warranty!

Review: I purch[redacted]d the vehicle from AXE and shortly after began experiencing major component breakdowns. The dealer, at the time of purch[redacted], tells the consumer that if they have issues with the vehicle that they can bring it back to the dealer's shop and will receive a discounted labor rate of $50 an hour. My trusted mechanic charges me the same rate, so I went to him for the repairs. I got 3 mechanic's estimates of what was wrong with the vehicle and all agreed that there were major component issues with the car requiring significant work. One of the mechanics was AXE Auto Sales in house mechanic and his assessment of the vehicle was done after the other two mechanics and some repairs. He did, though, confirm that there were major issues that needed to be repaired immediately, even after and aside from the repairs that had already been made. I have spent $1800 on repairs for this car just to keep it running, and the car needs significant additional work. When I approached the owner to explain the problems and find a solution, he not only raised his voice and talked over me, but he refused to offer any help. He told me to leave the car with his mechanic so that they could see if the car really needed repairs, which I did, and the mechanic confirmed some of the repairs and denied others that two independent mechanics have verified need repair (motor mounts and brakes). I asked if they would repair the car, not charge for the labor and I would cover the cost of the parts. They refused to do that as well. I asked if they would take the car back and apply the $1200 I had paid them towards the car so far towards the purch[redacted] of another car. They refused that solution as well. I asked if they could provide any assistance or solution and they said no. In addition to the mechanical issues, two of the tires blew within the first month of having the car. I took the car to 3 different tire dealers to have the two replaced and each told me that the tires on the car had been discontinued for 10 years and were so dry rotted that they could not replace only two of the tires, only all of them. They explained that if they put the car in their shop and officially began replacing those tires they would not be able to rele[redacted] the car without the other tires being replaced as that would make them negligent knowing that they were putting a vehicle that had been in their care back on the road in a dangerous situation.Desired Settlement: Either a refund of the money that I have paid towards the purch[redacted] of the car (I will return the car to them) or that amount applied to the down payment on another vehicle or for them to do the repairs needed to the car and not charge me for the repairs.

Mom said that there was a problem that still needed fixed and that her “trusted” mechanics quoted estimate was $600.00. We can get 4 good used tires for $100.00 which includes mounted and balanced. Can your “trusted” mechanics match that? That being said, this is what I am willing to do for [redacted], (not her mom). If she would like to get the $300.00 repair done, I am willing to add $50.00 to her next 6 payments if that will help her. But like I stated, she needs to get caught up with what she currently owes. Review: On August 19, I bought a 2004 Ford Explorer at Axe Auto Sales. I was told, everything was o.k. with the car. People told me, the senior mechanic was very good. He worked on the car. He checked everything out. During the test drive around the

block at 30 to 40 mph, people talked very loud. The radio and the a/c was on. You could not hear anything. Immediately after the sales, I drove the car alone. There was a noise in the rear. Within 20 minutes, I wanted to return the car to

Axe Auto ( misrepresentation ). During the next three days, I tried to do the same. I got ignored.

It took me almost 14 days, to get an appointment with the senior mechanic. He didn`t do anything. The junior mechanic took the car with an assistant to an other shop ( without me ). When they came back, there was a problem with the power

steering. They confirmed, there was a noise on the right rear side. [redacted], sen. is the owner of Axe Auto. He got angry. He shouted at me and kicked me out. He pretended, that he got cheated by the seller of the Ford Exlplorer.

I paid the full price of 5,460 $ for the car, because everything was supposed to be o.k. . The transmission needs some work to. The car was in an accident. I went to repair shops. There are many problems. Axe Auto should take the car back.

I went to other dealers. They got the information thru the computer and quoted me a low price. I could lose 2,000 to 2,500 $

Response:

From my understanding of what [redacted] is saying. He is acknowlodging the road noise from the tires. We have told him this is the issue all along. As stated before, we offered to get him new tires at our cost and he refused.

He claims there is a misaliagnment and has provided no proof of this

He claims there is a mechanical noise and has taken the vehicle to [redacted] and [redacted] and they cannot find any issue with the vehicle.

All this verifieshat the noise he is hearng is infact coming from tires as we ve told him all along.

His vehicle was sold with a 15 day or 500 mile engine and transmsson ( internal and lubriated parts only) warranty, Tire noise, claims of misalignment and claims of mechanical noise which no one can find or verify would not be covered under the warranty regardless.

We at Axe Auto Sales go above and beyond for our customers, but this customer has been impossible to work with and as a result of this, Axe Auto Sales does not want this customer to come on our property and will not offer any help in any way. Again, our record with the Revdex.com speaks for itself.

March 13, 2015: Followed-up with [redacted] Sales Owner, [redacted], I attempted to hash out a deal to satisfy both parties yet [redacted] (owner) refused to satisfy the terms and agreement of the contract. In addition to issues with the vehicle suspension, brakes, major oil leak from the engine, and cracked windshield. I informed [redacted] that I would be returning the car due to the vehicle not being operable and that the license plate was about to expire.
