I began working with Mr*** back in March to try and get him a replacement axle for his Shadow Cruiser
RVAs you can see from the number of e-mails it got complicatedI tried to work with Mr*** to alieve all the issues he was havingUnfortunately, I did not know that the bracket on his existing axle was obsoleted several years ago and Dexter did not make a direct rtr replacement for that particular bracket,
Mr*** was informed, as are all of our customers that the new axle and bracket would not look like the old axle and bracketOf course the issue remains that the new axle bracket has different bolt centers then the old one and the bracket is not as wideI offered to take back the new axle and issue a full refund including the shipping if Dexter was unable to redo the bracketYou can see from the emails that they will not make a new axle and if he does not want to try and make this fit by drilling new holes then I will be happy to bring the axle back and issue him a full refund

The Company has been building axles since the early 90'sI was well aware that the new axle mounting plate would not look like the old oneMy greatest concern was that the new axle mounting plate would align with the opening on the 5th Wheel trailer frame and the new axle would bolt up to the existing bolt holes in the trailer frameI was assured with new axle RTR (retro-fitted) mounting bracket that it align and mount in the existing bolt holesThis is NOT the case and now the Company claims they did know about the old mounting plate being obsolete, however, the company tells me that (original axle maker) used the Hexagonal Axle Beam until the supply ran outThey then re-designed the axle w/a square axle beam and the Retro-fitted mounting plateI am a Consumer not an RV or Trailer makerBeing on Social Security, I can not afford to pay a local company to replace my axleThat's why I dealt directly with Axle, Inc
Now I have to spend more $ on tools and drill bits to drill new holes in the trailer frame to accommodate and be able to attach the new axle to the trailer frameI have asked Axle, Inc to provide info on this processI'm awaiting a response from them as they forwarded my questions to Dexter Axles
