ovariohyserectomy surgery, so I suggested that we could come out and try to help her have the kitten on her own to help aleviate the need for emergency surgery costs.  We stated that I would help her out and not charge an emergency fee and just charge her the $75 emergency fee.  We stated that if the mother was able to deliver the late (likely dead) kitten on her own it would save around $500 from the compared emergency surgery costs of $750.  How that conversation would be construed as the entire house call and treatment would only be $75, is a mystery to me.  We promptly went directly to her home and treated the mother cat with a late kitten with all of the appropriate medications and dosages that would help assist in the natural delivery of a late kitten or retained placental tissues.  Both of which are potentially life-threatening situations.  We offered to help her pay for the emergency surgery through my pet rescue 501(c)3 non-profit to help her and the cat out of a desperate situation.  I called 3 times the next day to check on the status of the mother and kittens, but never received a return phone call and therefore was not able to further assist [redacted] and the mother cat with delivering the remaining kitten(s).
