We received a complaint from *** *** through youWe had also received a call from him to tell us that his transmission was bad and the vehicle was at the dealership, *** *** ***He wanted us to pay for it and threatened to sue usWe advised him the warranty is through us and we
would need to see the vehicle to honor itWe have attempted to call Mr*** several times after we received the complaint and have had no answer. We contacted his warranty company, Route 66, and they said on the 19th of september they received a call from *** *** *** saying the transmission cooler had blown out, was leaking badly, and needed to be replaced*** *** *** replaced it on the 21st of September. Route informed him twice that the vehicle should come back to us if there was a warranty issue, but the cooler going bad would void the warranty of the transmission. Our last contact with Mr*** prior to this was 2/18/at 134,milesHe brought his car in for a check engine light, ***, being on, meaning the dual stage oil pump stuck lowHe was quarts low on oil and had a major oil leak from the oil filter adapter assembly, the low oil condition causing the codeAfter we filled it with the proper amount of oil (at no charge to him), the code went away.He had previously been in 12/11/with the same *** code and the electrical actuator in the dual stage oil pump was bad and not operatingThis was comfirmed by a inspector from Route warranty companyWe replaced the oil pump and it functioned properly. When he came back on 2/18/16, he had developed the oil leak from the oil filter adapter housing, which is a common failureAs I said it had leaked enough to cause the code to come backHe was upset that it was not the oil pump itself and not under warrantyMr*** became quite abusive at that timeWe informed him that we no longer wanted to work on his vehicle, but we would honor any warranty for work previously doneThe contact information for Route is 1-*** and the contract number is ***They have been very helpful if you would like to contact themWe regret the situation, as customer service is a priority, but do not feel we are responsible for his issuesIf you would like, I can send you the invoices to show the work done and the time line
