Mr [redacted] called to say their response to the rebuttal is the same as the first responseWe offered to adjust the cost fr m $down to just her co-pay of $All she needs to do is supply her insurance information for our confirmationOur offer still stands

[redacted] I attempted times over the last several months to get a hold of Ms***- [redacted] leaving her messages with no response I finally connected with her on my 4th attempt She presented to us with no insurance ID so we followed protocol and charged her our self-pay rate We explained to her that if she called us with the insurance information we would reverse those charges and bill her insurance My billing company has attempted numerous times to get that information from her with no success In my conversation with her days ago, I told her that if we received her insurance information that I would adjust the cost to just her co-pay, even though it has gone beyond the time limit and we will receive nothing from her insurance I don’t believe as of right now she has given the billing company that information We will continue to work with her in resolving this caseIf you have additional questions, please contact me at the email or phone number provided Regards [redacted] Site Administrator Malta Med Emergent Care

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Firstly, insurance information was provided at the time of visitIt was quite a painful thing to provide, given that using my eyes was quite painful.Second, what is in dispute is the quality of careI utilized Malta Med's services after being assured they had the necessary implements of treatmentI was diagnosed with a single corneal scratch, "not over the main field of vision." In fact, I had two corneal scratches across my pupil, so each time the light changed, my pupils expanded or contracted, causing significant pain even with my eyes closedHad Malta Med answered my question about whether they had adequate pain drops and contact bandages onsite correctly, I would have instead sought the care of a qualified optometristAs more than one representative of Malta's urgent care assured me this equipment was available onsite, I was surprised when the treating doctor told me they had no such equipment, and could only provide evaluation and minor first aid for eyes -- which they did, in fact, provide, and which offered no reliefI received no relief and could not use my eyes until I found a way to get someone to New York to transport me and my two very small children hours home to Maine, where I saw my optometrist the following morning for correct diagnosis and care I chose Malta Med after being given information both over the phone prior to visiting and during checkoutHad I been given correct information, having had prior experience with corneal scratches, I would have taken my care elsewhere (to an optometrist)Or, perhaps, had the doctor correctly diagnosed the two corneal scratches over my pupil rather than a single corneal scratch outside my main field of vision, they would have provided different treatment -- of course, that I cannot say and certainly Malta Med will not sayRegards, [redacted] ***- [redacted]

Mr. [redacted] called to say their response to the rebuttal is the same as the first response. We offered to adjust the cost fr m $155 down to just her co-pay of $25. All she needs to do is supply her insurance information for our confirmation. Our offer still stands.

[redacted] I attempted 3 times over the last several months to get a hold of Ms. [redacted] leaving her messages with no response.  I finally connected with her on my 4th attempt.  She presented to us with no insurance ID so we followed protocol and charged her our normal self-pay rate. ...

We explained to her that if she called us with the insurance information we would reverse those charges and bill her insurance.  My billing company has attempted numerous times to get that information from her with no success.  In my conversation with her 2 days ago, I told her that if we received her insurance information that I would adjust the cost to just her co-pay, even though it has gone beyond the time limit and we will receive nothing from her insurance.  I don’t believe as of right now she has given the billing company that information.  We will continue to work with her in resolving this case. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Firstly, insurance information was provided at the time of visit. It was quite a painful thing to provide, given that using my eyes was quite painful.Second, what is in dispute is the quality of care. I utilized Malta Med's services after being assured they had the necessary implements of treatment. I was diagnosed with a single corneal scratch, "not over the main field of vision." In fact, I had two corneal scratches across my pupil, so each time the light changed, my pupils expanded or contracted, causing significant pain even with my eyes closed. Had Malta Med answered my question about whether they had adequate pain drops and contact bandages onsite correctly, I would have instead sought the care of a qualified optometrist. As more than one representative of Malta's urgent care assured me this equipment was available onsite, I was surprised when the treating doctor told me they had no such equipment, and could only provide evaluation and minor first aid for eyes -- which they did, in fact, provide, and which offered no relief. I received no relief and could not use my eyes until I found a way to get someone to New York to transport me and my two very small children 4 hours home to Maine, where I saw my optometrist the following morning for correct diagnosis and care.     I chose Malta Med after being given false information both over the phone prior to visiting and during checkout. Had I been given correct information, having had prior experience with corneal scratches, I would have taken my care elsewhere (to an optometrist). Or, perhaps, had the doctor correctly diagnosed the two corneal scratches over  my pupil rather than a single corneal scratch outside my main field of vision, they would have provided different treatment -- of course, that I cannot say and certainly Malta Med will not say. Regards,  [redacted]
