Aztec Maintenance

I just want to share my experience with you people that I tried Aztec Maintenance, I heard about it from a friend so I called them for the window washing of my houseAs you all people know that its quite difficult to clean the windows but they had made my dayI was very happyTotally satisfied by the service

I originally heard of Aztec Maintenance via Craigslist as I was looking for extra work to fill my days off from the oil and gas industry. They stated in the add they pay cash daily. I showed up to work, where we all met at the King George sky train station at 10am on Wednesday November 2nd, 2016. After I waited around for about 25 minutes the "managers" finally showed up to pick up the crews. I spoke to the manager I was riding with briefly, there wasn't much communication or organization from the previous day when I was told to just wear runners and normal clothes. The manager has asked me if I felt okay about working on a roof, I replied and asked do you tie off.? He said no, but they work very safe. Given my extensive training in the mining industry I of course refused unsafe work. He said no problem that I could knock on doors and sell the product. Once we finally got to the area we were going to work for that day in Port Moody/Coquitlam area we dropped off one guy who was set out to clean the moss off a roof, clean out the gutters and then wash the exterior part of the gutters. As I was informed earlier they don't use any safety measures while working at heights, the worker was on the roof, which by the way it was raining so of course the hazards of slipping were very high. Myself, the manager and another new crew member left and went to another area to do door to door sales. While driving to that area I asked the manager (who by the way clearly by his answers had ZERO management training or skills) if he knew what would happen if the worker fell off the roof, he replied and said WCB would cover him. I continued to quiz him on how much he knew about safe job practices and procedure, whether or not he knew about Bill C-45, of course he had no clue what that was. He also didn't know that if in the event someone is hurt or killed on the job he himself would be held accountable. It was clear to me with in the first couple hours that this company was not professional by any means or didn't care about anything more then making some fast cash. I continued on into the afternoon going door to door but by the lunch hour had already made up my mind and called a friend in the area to meet me, I left at the lunch hour and simply stated to the manager I couldn't represent a company that goes against all of what I've worked so hard to achieve up north and that I wanted no part in how they clearly have no regard for other peoples safety. In summary all I can say from my 5 hour experience working this these guys is that if you're a home owner and you're considering having these guys do work on your property, PLEASE ensure they are using proper safe job practices while working at heights.
