Review: I called Aztec Solar for service in August of 2015 because there was a leak coming from the solar panels on our roof. On 8/17/15 they sent a service tech out to find out where the leak was coming from and to fix the problem. When the tech arrived my husband greeted him at the door and the tech climbed up on the roof to access the situation and when he came back down he told to my husband there was a leak coming from the panel around the sky light. He said this repair was covered by manufacturer warranty and there would be no charge to us. The tech went to his truck to get a part and fixed the problem. My husband was not given any paperwork at all for this service. We assumed there was no paperwork given because of it being under warranty. Then in November 2015 we received a statement from Aztec Solar and it said we were over 90 days past due for a service done on 8/17/15. I have never received anything from them at all until November. Then in February I received another statement and a letter from [redacted] (accounting mgr.) stating that this bill was to paid in full immediately. I called and explained that the tech told us the service was covered by the warranty and there would be no charge. She tells me he repaired a pipe leak and pipes are not covered by warranty. I pulled out warranty paperwork given to me by Aztec Solar when we purchased the [redacted] solar pool heating system in 2005 and it states that [redacted]. warrants to the original purchaser, that the [redacted] collector and components installed by an authorized dealer would be free from defect in materials and workmanship for a full 12 years from the date of install(see [redacted].com)and the repair made to our system was part of the components in the system. She had [redacted] (service mgr) call me and he told me that if I didn't pay the bill he was turning it over to collections. Tried to explain again we were told no charge. I asked for the tech's name and he put me on hold and never came back.I hung up and have not heard back.Desired Settlement: Would like them to credit the invoice and repair my credit report if it was turned over to collections. I was told no charge for this service and that it would be covered under the full 12 year warranty that came with the [redacted] solar system that we purchased from Aztec Solar in 2005 so that is what I expect from them because they are the authorized dealer/service provider in our area for [redacted]. and we were told no charge for service repair by the service tech from their company.

Aztec Solar has not only provided [redacted] a copy of her 12 year [redacted] panel warranty, but different employees have explained the billing several times for several years. Furthermore, we have given [redacted] several months to pay her outstanding invoice before turning her into collections. Please find attached service tickets, outstanding invoices with financing charges as proof as trying to work with our customer. [redacted], has even called for service in the past and cancelled the appointment when she was reminded her billing. She has also paid for serice for 7/21/14 service call as a similar type of repair issue. [redacted] has been a customer since 2005 and at every call for service has been reminded of the billing if the leak is not in the solar panel. Our technicians do not deal with the billing or decisions of the billing. The only time we heard from [redacted] is when we told her she would be turned over to collections.

Review: I had a system installed about 3 years ago for solar pool heating. I replaced a older system that had developed leaks in the panels and was told they have a superior product and that it had a 12 year warranty. Well after 3 years and having a problem when the system would not shut down I gave them a call and they said they would come out and check it out the next day as a tech was in the area or it would be another week. I was under the impression that it was under warranty still. After the tech came out it was discovered that the electric valve was not functioning and a new one was needed. I had the old valve from my old system so he said he would install it. I received a bill from the company for 128.00 for a service call using my old valve. I was never told there would be a service charge but he said he told me, Right. He also said they have no record of me buying this system from them, I guess the receipt from 3 years ago was from another Aztec solar. He informed me that if I did not pay the bill they would send me to collections. IDesired Settlement: I was not told there would be a service charge to look at my system and I have a receipt from when I bought it that says a 12 year warranty on parts and labor.
