Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2014/10/27) */
We received our client Mr. [redacted] on August 25,2014 he asked us how much would be charged to installed a Suspension Air Bag "only labor" because he had his own part. for his car 2005 BMW X5 Gray 4.4L. Our Client Agreed with the...

estimated given to him, but yet the car was not diagnosed by our shop. it was just an estimate. we worked on what our client requested. When the mechanic checked both parts old and new, they were not the same. The Part brought by our client was incorrect. Immediatly we called our client and explained him the parts were not the same. Our job is try to solve the problem and we offered to get the part from the company with the consent of the course. Mr [redacted] accepted. When we called the Company [redacted] we were notified that it was a special order and it would take to get the part,at least one working day after the order was processed. We Notified Mr [redacted] he said it was fine. The part arrived two days later. In This Type of car to replace the air bag is necessary to move the spare tire because the air is compressor. When the work was completed the spare tire was placed in the right place. After we call our costumer several times to let him know the car was ready to be picked up, but there was no answer. the client came after two days of notice. It is always our obligation before delivering a car we have to show our costumers the work that was done to the car, and we did so. but it was difficult talking to the client because he came in with three people, with aggressive attitude. Our Client was upset started yelling at the manager, insults also bad words, in the loby infront of other clients waiting for their cars. We Explained that we did not diagnosed the problem. We had just put the part we were indicated to do so. And explained to him that the car may need more future repairs. When the client acceded to pay the amount he threw the card to our secretary [redacted]. she asked for his ID (there is a rule that the bank requires: For your protection a picture ID is required when paying with any credit-debit card)Our costumer refused and said he will go to his lawyer because it was illegal when we ask for an ID and refused to give us his ID. The card that he paid was also the name of a women mentioned was his wife.
for any questions feel free to call me

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2014/10/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It doesn't make sense for any mechanic to work on any vehicle without knowing what the problem is. It's like if you ask your doctor to do a surgery without knowing what the issue is. I was notified that I was indeed going to be needing a special part and I did in fact agree for them to order what I needed. However, I told them to make sure the car was fixed correctly and to make sure that the car was fine before I picked it up. I also said that it didn't matter how much I was going to be charged as long as the car was working properly because my wife and kids used the vehicle. The person who I spoke to said not to worry about anything and that they were going to be fixing the car to my satisfaction. I went into the shop with one problem but came out with a lot more problems. The wheel shakes, the car is not leveled correctly, the lights on the dash board are now on ( they were came on unless I needed gas), the car sound system doesn't sound the same because they had disconnected for what reason? Who knows! True the spare tire was removed but was not put on until my brother who was the only one who went with me (not the 3 ppl as they say) noticed it was my spare tire all the way in the back of the shop. They did go over the repairs with me and no one ever mentioned that I was going to need future repairs in the near future. The manager not jaqueline asked for an id but Jaqueline knew that I was going to be paying with my wife's credit card. I called the shop the next day and a secretary informed me hat someone was going to be giving me a call back and no one did. I called several times and I wasn't able to get to anyone or no one ever called. All I wang is for them to fix my car correctly or for them to pay someone who knows how to fix my car. I'm in the process of getting a quote from a BMW dealer and I feel that they should pay for the repair. Now I do understand that if the repair cost is more than what I paid maybe their best bet would be to give me a full refund. Thank you
