Review: I signed a contract with Barry W[redacted] from Willaims Painting form [redacted] also doing business as B&A Painting on 6-29-2016 to paint my house Barry requested 1/2 the money down I paid him with check #[redacted] in the amount of $2750.00 , he cashed my check they day I paid him, the next day he told me he was in some type of trouble and that someone came and seized all of his equipment and froze his bank accounts and that he could not do the work. I asked for my money back but he never provide it to me. He took my money and never started the job. Now I am finding out he has been operating a unlicensed pa contracting business from 2012. I just want my money back.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back. He never started the job.

Review: The owner handled my job directly, wanted payment upfront. I was able to contract for payment after completion of job. Barry and his crew painted every window of my two-story colonial home shut. He said that he cut them all open. this was in June 2014, I tried to stop payment on my check but he must have been waiting for the bank to open and cashed it as soon as it opened. Since then I have been trying to schedule a time to fix this and clean up all the paint he left in my yard and what he dropped on the bricks of my house. It is now the end of August and he refuses to return my calls. At first he was in the hospital, then his phone did not work and his wife disconnected when I called and she realized it was me. I have a phone history for three months of trying to connect with this company. I've given him the open of reimbursing me to have someone else complete the job,with no reply.Desired Settlement: For them to pay for the corrective work, (cleaning up the excess paint, cutting open my windows, 20 windows and labor required.
